    Memphis Grizzlies @ New York Knicks

    There are two parts when it comes to first-basket betting. The first part is predicting who wins the first possession. Memphis has the advantage in winning the first possession, but the Knicks are the better team. That means the Knicks could get a stop and still score the first basket of the night. 

    Jalen Brunson has become one of the elite scorers in the NBA. He averages 27.3 points per game, which ranks 11th in the league. That kind of production means the Knicks will want to get him involved early and often tonight. Brunson has plenty of betting value tonight, and bettors will want to keep an eye on him for the rest of the season.

    Minnesota Timberwolves @ Chicago Bulls 

    Minnesota has the better chance of winning the tipoff tonight. They have both Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns. Both of those players can win tipoffs against their opponents consistently. The Timberwolves also have the firepower to score the first basket.

    Anthony Edwards is quickly becoming one of the most dynamic players in the NBA. He can score multiple ways, and teams struggle to stop him. The Timberwolves have a few players that could score first, but Edwards has the most betting value.

    Bet: Anthony Edwards (+550)

    Milwaukee Bucks @ Phoenix Suns

    This game is one of the less predictable matchups of the night. Bettors will want to lower the number of units they bet on this game. That is because either of these teams could win the first possession. The Bucks are dealing with a few day-to-day injuries to Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo.  

    The Phoenix Suns are starting to heat up. They are 10-3 over their last 13 games. A few players can score buckets for the Suns, but Devin Booker is my favorite tonight. Booker has the better matchup. Bettors can use that to their advantage.
