Tuesday’s NBA First Basket Scorer Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Lakers @ New Orleans Pelicans

These teams split the first possession during the regular season. The Pelicans and Lakers each won two. Either team could win the tipoff tonight, but I like the Lakers here. Anthony Davis is one of the league’s most athletic big men, and that could allow him to get the Lakers the ball first tonight.

One player also stands out above the rest to score first, Davis. His athletic ability and tall frame make him difficult to defend. He made the First Basket in the last game that the Lakers played the Pelicans. Davis will have a chance to do that again tonight.

Bet: Anthony Davis (+360)

Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings

The Golden State Warriors have won the first possession in three of the four games against the Sacramento Kings this season. That means they will have the best opportunity of scoring first in this matchup. The only question is who will score first for the Golden State Warriors.

Few players in the league can score like Stephen Curry. The Warriors will want to get him started early in this matchup to win this Play-In game. He will get plenty of opportunities to score against the Kings. Bettors can take advantage of these early opportunities.

Bet: Stephen Curry (+450)
