Houston Rockets @ Minnesota Timberwolves

The first part of First-Basket betting is picking who will win the first possession. Tonight, that team is Minnesota. They have the size and athleticism to win the tipoff against the Houston Rockets. The only question is who will score the First Basket of the night for the Minnesota Timberwolves. 

There are a couple of players who could potentially score first for the Timberwolves, but my favorite is Anthony Edwards. He is the team’s leader, and the last time they faced the Rockets, he shot the first bucket of the night. The Timberwolves will want to get him involved early tonight. 

Bet: Anthony Edwards (+450)

Milwaukee Bucks @ Washington Wizards

The Milwaukee Bucks have the best chance of winning the first possession of this game. Washington won both the tipoffs against the Bucks this year, but they no longer have Daniel Gafford. Now, they lack the size to compete with the tall frontcourt of the Bucks. 

Without size, Giannis Antetokounmpo has the most betting value. The Wizards have no way to stop or even slow him down. He averages 36.5 points per game against them this season, which means he has a good chance of having a big game tonight.

Dallas Mavericks @ Golden State Warriors

Golden State loves to run one of the smaller lineups in the NBA. That means the Mavericks have an opportunity for the first opportunity to score. In both games this season, the Dallas Mavericks have won the first possession of the game. 

I can not think of anyone better than Luka Doncic to score first. He scored the First Basket in the last game against the Warriors and is one of the elite scorers in the league. His size makes him almost impossible to defend, and he can shoot from anywhere on the court. That gives him good betting value tonight. 

Bet: Luka Doncic (+380)
