Sacramento Kings @ Oklahoma City Thunder

The Sacramento Kings have won two of the three first possessions while facing the Thunder this season. That gives them the better odds of winning the tipoff tonight. Even if they do not win the tipoff, their defense is strong enough to get a stop and an opportunity to score. 

A couple of players could score first for the Kings, but the one with the most betting value is Keegan Murray. He has scored the first or second bucket in two matchups against the Thunder this season. Those two games and his +650 first-basket line make him a higher-value play tonight.

Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have won the first possession in every game against the Warriors this season. That should be the case again tonight against a Warriors team that struggles to win the tipoff in most of its games. 

Anthony Davis is one of the more consistent First-Basket scorers for the Los Angeles Lakers. He has scored the First Basket in two of the three matchups against the Golden State Warriors. That consistency is hard to ignore when wagering on who will score first. Bettors can use Davis’ consistency to their advantage.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Phoenix Suns

Either of these teams could win the tipoff. They have split the first possession in the two games they have already played this season. That means it will come down to who is efficient and can play defense. The Los Angeles Clippers are the better team in both of those categories.

The player I like best to score is Ivica Zubac. He has the size and athleticism to score the First Basket. He has a good matchup tonight. Jusuf Nurkic’s primary job is to grab rebounds and get the ball to the Sun’s playmakers. That means Zubac will have a chance to score the First Basket.
