    Houston Rockets vs. Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets are expecting their big three to return to action tonight.

That big three include Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon. But Denver hasn’t been the most consistent team to start games this year. The Nuggets have added the first field goal in 50% of games this season and have needed 1.7 field goal attempts before making their first bucket.

They’ll take on the Rockets, who only need 1.2 field goal attempts for the first bucket. Houston has added 50% tip wins and has taken the game’s first field goal attempt in 50% of games as well.

The Nuggets and Rockets are even regarding the tip and first field goal attempt. However, the Rockets are the more consistent team early on.

Alperen Sengun has taken the team’s first field goal attempt in 29% of games and has added the team’s first field goal in 43% of games. He’s already got six made first field goals and has scored three of them in his last ten games with the Rockets.

At +600, I’ll roll with more consistent Rockets and back Sengun to score first.

    Bet: Alperen Sengun (+700)

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings

This is a hilarious battle between the two worst teams at winning the tip.

The Clippers have won the opening tip just 19% of the time, while the Kings have won the tip in only 20% of the games.

But here’s where things start to become more clearer.

The Clippers have needed 2.2 field goal attempts for their first field goal make. Meanwhile, the Kings have only needed 1.3 field goal attempts for their first field goal.

That’s why the Clippers have made 31% of first field goals this season, while the Kings have drained 53% of first field goals. The Kings are much more consistent with their opening possession.

De’Aaron Fox has started 11 games this season. In those 11 games, he’s scored the first field goal in five of 11 games. He’s also attempted the team’s first field goal in over 45% of games this season and has made all five of those attempts.

Only Kevin Huerter has attempted the first shot in over 20% of games. But Fox has been even more consistent when he’s on the floor.

    Bet: De’Aaron Fox (+700)
