Josh Giddey (+850)
The Thunder are barely hanging onto the last playoff spot and are currently tied with the Mavericks for tenth place. They need to get over this three-game losing streak they are on if they want to make it in.
Portland still has a small chance of making it into the playoffs and is only 3.5 games out, so a win tonight would help. The team can score with three players averaging over 20 points per game, including Damian Lillard, whose 32.2 points per game is third in the league, but they cannot defend and are 27th in defensive efficiency.
The Thunder hold the advantage in overall first baskets this season and are coming in grabbing eight of their tenth. Josh Giddey has been getting the first points for OKC lately, with two in their last five. Portland is allowing the most first baskets to shooting guards this year.
Rudy Gobert (+470)
The reigning champs are not having the season they hoped for. They are currently in sixth place but are in jeopardy of dropping down, which would put them in the play-in tournament. Injuries have been a big part of why they're in this position, but if they are healthy, they are a heavy favorite to repeat.
The Timberwolves are right behind them and would love to win this game and have a chance to get out of the play-in tournament. They are getting Karl Anthony Towns back at the right time, and it could rejuvenate an offense that hasnât been as good as last season.
The T-Wolves hold a significant advantage in first baskets of 63% to 57%. The Warriors have been vulnerable down low and have allowed the most first baskets to centers. Rudy Gobert has been a tremendous first basket play because he's tied for the most on the team.
Al Horford (+550)
As the season hits the final stretch, Boston wants to reclaim the top spot in the east. That will be tough because the Bucks continue to win, and the Celtics have not maintained their pace.
Luckily they'll face the Spurs, who are already eliminated from the playoffs.
The Celtics hold a significant advantage in tip wins and first baskets. San Antonio has been vulnerable down in the post, which will help Al Horford get the first points.
