Minnesota Timberwolves
After a red-hot start to the season, Timberwolves fans are hanging on for dear life in this last week of the season. Coming into the week, the TWolvesâ latest losing streak has reached three games. They now sit in the 9th seed but just 1 1/2 games back from the 7th.
Tuesdayâs game vs. the Nets is critical not just for a Minnesota win but to see if big man Karl-Anthony Towns can take another step forward in his come back. Still one of the most talented rosters in the bottom half of the West, I think Minnesota can rally this week to sneak into the NBAâs Big Dance.

Atlanta Hawks
Since making the Eastern Conference finals just two seasons ago, this Hawks team has largely fallen through the floor. Superstar Trae Young seems increasingly unhappy with the coaching staff in Atlanta. A postseason miss would be the straw to break the camels back in that relationship.
Consistency has been the main issue for the Hawks. They have shown flashes of their old selves but have also failed to pick up consecutive wins over the last several weeks. While a win on Sunday night was key for keeping them alive, the Hawks are coming off bad losses to Brooklyn and Memphis in the past week.
Youngâs struggles have caught up with them once again and John Collins has been a shell of his usual self down the stretch. I just donât think the Hawks can pull it back together with only seven days remaining in the regular season.
Bet: No (+100)
Chicago Bulls
Currently sitting in the 10 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls have work to do, as theyâd have to win two play-in games to officially cash this ticket. This week, they have at least three very winnable games, taking on the Hawks at home on Tuesday before ending the week with games against the Mavericks and Pistons.
The Bulls have been surging as of late, winning four of their past six. Zach LaVine is playing some of his best basketball of the season. If the Bulls can beat the Hawks to start the week, theyâd sneak into the eighth spot and need just one play-in win to clinch the postseason
