NBA Parlay for Friday February 11th, 2022

Super Bowl Weekend is officially upon us and is taking center stage. Still, the NBA roars on with a seven-game slate tonight packed with value for those looking close enough.

Let’s take a look at how things might play out.

Leg #1. Hornets -7 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

The once red-hot Hornets are now just shy of the .500 mark as the young upstart nucleus has now lost six straight. They’re posting just 99 points per game over this stretch, among the worst in the league. Their most recent L came against the Bulls at home on Wednesday.

The home Pistons come into this one on the second of a back-to-back, and they were routed at home last night by Memphis 132-107. I think the Hornets will get back on track tonight against a Pistons team in the midst of a rebuild whose best player Jerami Grant has likely been playing hard in hopes of a trade that didn’t come yesterday.

Leg #2. Thunder +13 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

Two teams moving in opposite directions will meet tonight in Philadelphia, as the 76ers were the talk of the trade deadline yesterday acquiring James Harden in a “win-now” move. Tonight, however, they’ll be without Seth Curry and Andre Drummond, as well as Harden and the also-acquired Paul Millsap.

The Thunder come into tonight after a 117-98 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday, following a slow start they couldn’t claw back from. Despite being at the bottom of nearly every offensive metric, Wednesday marked the Thunder’s first loss by more than 12 points in their last nine games.

Look for a distracted 76ers team to allow this one to remain close tonight.

Leg #3. Nuggets +5.5 | -110  at DK Sportsbook

In the National TV game of the night (NBA TV), the Nuggets head east in an attempt to slow down the smoking hot Celtics who have now won six straight. Last winning at home Tuesday vs. the Nets (126-91), the Celtics built a 28-2 lead early and kept distance throughout the game.

The Nuggets also beat the breaks off of their opponent on Tuesday, defeating the Knicks at home 132-115 in another game that was never close. They scored 83 points in the first half. I like the bench to be the difference in this one, as the Celtics activity at the trade deadline will leave them short-handed for this one against the elite-scoring Nuggets.
