Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook | This Season: 10-17 (-6.80 units)

Damian Lillard Over 32.5 Points + Assists (-120)

Damian Lillard has scored 31 points in back-to-back games after scoring 27 or fewer in four consecutive. Lillard has at least five assists in seven of his last eight games. Even with those numbers, he’s been far from a sure thing to hit this over. However, in six of his last seven games, he’s combined for at least 32 points + assists.

The Heat are allowing just 107.8 points per game. However, they’re also the fifth-worst three-point defense in the league. Lillard averages 8.7 three-point attempts per game, and he may attempt even more against a team that allows 38.1% from deep. Yet, even considering these stats, we don’t recommend playing Lillard’s over for three-pointers, as DraftKings Sportsbooks and others are asking -125 for over 3.5. It just serves as a good indication to us that tonight, Lillard will score.

Fred VanVleet Over 9.5 Assists (+105)

Fred VanVleet is averaging 9.0 assists per game this season. He’s recorded at least 10 in four of his last five, averaging 11 per game during that span. The problem with taking a VanVleet over is that when he is off, he’s really off. He’s recorded at least 10 assists in eight of 14 games. He’s recorded five or fewer assists in five of the six games where he hasn’t hit double figures.

Tonight should be a big night for VanVleet, as the Mavericks allow the sixth-most assists per game. They have the seventh-worst scoring defense in basketball, and though the Rockets rank just 26th in points per game, all of this bodes well for VanVleet recording at least 10 assists. At this price, this prop is too good to pass up.

Stephen Curry Over 29.5 Points (-120)

The Warriors and Kings have already met twice this season. In the first meeting, Stephen Curry scored 41, while in the second, he scored just 21. Both teams now allow at least 114 points per game, so we expect this to be a high-scoring contest. Considering Curry is his team’s leading scorer by nearly 15 points, it’s hard to imagine him getting enough support tonight to not go over this total and have his team remain in the game.

You could consider taking Curry to hit his points + assists + rebounds over, but it’s likely that for him to hit that, he’d need to score at least 30 points tonight. He’s averaging 8.3 assists + rebounds per game. So they’re asking him to get at least nine, even if he does score 30 points. It’s much more likely he goes over his points average than assists + rebounds average tonight.
