Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook | This Season: 21-30 (-9.66 units)

Paolo Banchero Over 24.5 Points (-115)

The Wizards have the worst defense in the NBA, so taking the leading scorer for their opponent to hit their point total is a pretty safe bet. Banchero is coming off a 34-point performance against the Indiana Pacers. It was the first time this season that he scored over 24 points without attempting a single three-pointer.

One of the main reasons why Banchero had such a good performance is because he attempted 16 free throws in that game. He’s been great at getting to the line all season, but in December, he’s excelled. He’s averaging eight free throw attempts per game during the month. The Wizards commit the 16th-most fouls in the league, plus they struggle to defend in the paint and from beyond the arc. That bodes well for Banchero clearing his season average.

Nic Claxton Over 9.5 Rebounds (-125)

This prop is expensive, but Claxton is due for a good game cleaning up the boards after his seven-rebound performance on Saturday. Claxton is averaging 9.4 rebounds per game this season, but he’s pulled down more than nine just twice in his last seven games.

Based on his recent performances, oddsmakers could set this line at 8.5 and still get betters to take the under, so the high number and price suggest that oddsmakers are trying to bait bettors into the under.

The Pistons rank 17th in rebounds allowed per game, giving up an average of 51.8 per contest this season. They held Claxton to just seven on Saturday, but this is the Nets’ leading rebounder. In an ugly game, Claxton will hit double digits.

Mike Conley Under 10.5 Points (+100)

Conley’s current line for three-pointers made is 2.5. However, the under is priced at -190. While we love him to make two or fewer threes tonight, the price simply isn’t worthwhile to make the wager. Instead, we recommend Conley to score 10 or fewer points.

Conley has scored at least 12 in back-to-back games and three of his last four. This month, he’s averaging 13.8 points per game. However, earlier this season, he scored just nine points in 37 minutes against the Thunder. He shot 3-of-14 in that game, making all of his shots from beyond the arc.

The Thunder have one of the better defenses in the league, and Conley doesn’t shoot enough to be a lock for an over, even when the number is so low. He’s shooting 46.4% this season, but he’s only attempting 8.3 field goals per game. Unless he hits four threes, he should end below this total.
