Monday’s Best NBA Player Props

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | This Season: 41-62 (-23.56 units)

Kevin Huerter Over 8.5 Points (-120)

Huerter has scored six or fewer points in four of his last five games, and he didn’t score at all in two of those games. Yet he’s still averaging over 10 points per game, and tonight’s matchup against the Grizzlies is a good one for him.

In two games against the Grizzlies this season, Huerter has scored 17 and nine points. The nine-point game came during a cold stretch for Huerter, during which he scored fewer than 10 points in seven consecutive games. Even though he’s been struggling from the field lately, there’s no reason not to back him in this matchup.

Dejounte Murray Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made (+105)

Murray has been on fire from deep of late. He’s made at least four three-pointers in five consecutive games, his longest stretch hitting that mark this season. He’s averaging just 2.5 made three-pointers per game, so perhaps he’s due for an off-game. Still, seeing him shoot less tonight against the Lakers’ three-point defense would be surprising.

Without Trae Young, Murray will continue to be the most important shooter on this offense. He’s scored at least 40 in two of his last five and at least 20 in eight of his last nine. Expect a similarly impressive performance tonight, especially from deep.

Jalen Duren Under 12.5 Points (-125)

Duren scored 15 points in the first meeting between the Detroit Pistons and the Celtics. He was 5-of-6 from the floor and 5-of-6 from the free throw line in that game. Still, the Celtics have one of the best interior defenses in the NBA, so it’s worth backing Duren to struggle tonight.

Duren’s over is set at +100 right now, which is enticing considering what he did the first time these two teams met. Though he’s averaging 14.0 points per game, the Celtics defense will prove too much for him. He’s scored 15 or more points in three of his last four games. However, he scored just 11 in last night’s game against the Miami Heat. On the second night of a back-to-back, he’s in for a rough performance.
