NBA Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: January 7, 2023
DeâAaron Fox OVER 25.5 (-115)
The Kings are one of the most surprising teams in the NBA this season. They currently have the longest playoff drought of any team in the major four sports at 12 years. That has a great chance to end this year, as they are currently in first place in the Pacific Division.
A big reason for that is Fox, who has recently scored 20 or more points in 10 of his last 11 games. He gets a great matchup against the Lakers, who are on the second leg of a back-to-back and will probably have some players rest. The Lakersâ backcourt defense has been below average this season, and they're allowing the second-most points to point guards.
Luka Doncic UNDER 34.5 points (-115)
The Mavericks had their seven-game winning streak, along with Donic's six-game 30-point game streak, snapped by the Celtics on Thursday. Tonight will be a test to see if they can regroup and remain a significant player in the Western Conference.
They are hosting the Pelicans, who played 24 hours ago and are without Zion Williamson and possibly Brandon Ingram for this game. Still, New Orleans is a great defensive team and held the Nets to 108 points last time out. This will be a closer game, and the Pelicans will be able to contain Luka for another low-scoring statline.
Lauri Markkanen UNDER 7.5 rebounds (+110)
The Jazz exceeded expectations early in the season, but they've begun to slip significantly. They were never a defensively efficient team, but their offense had been holding its own. Now, they are struggling with seven losses in their last ten games.
While the Bulls don't look great record-wise, they're starting to put it all together and have won seven of their last ten. The defense is their foundation, especially on the boards. The Bulls are fourth in offensive and defensive rebounding percentage. Lauri Markkanen leads the team in rebounding, but he will come up empty a lot tonight.
