Thursdayâs Best NBA Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Jayson Tatum Over 39.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
These teams just met on Monday, and now they run it back on Thursday night in Atlanta. The Hawks eked out a 120-118 victory to win outright as a 10.5-point underdog and cashing the Over (224.5). Jayson Tatum did his part to try and help the Celtics avoid the upset, going for 37 points on 13-of-26 shooting, including 2-of-7 from behind the arc and 9-for-11 at the free-throw line.
The former Duke standout is averaging 27.3 PPG, which is sixth in the NBA, but he has been even better this month. He is averaging 28.6 PPG, 6.5 RPG and 5.1 APG in 12 games in March, including the 37 points last time out against Atlanta.
As such, he has a rather high target of 39.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists, but itâs worth a shot. He nearly took care of this on points alone in the game earlier this week. The Hawks have cashed the Over in five straight, scoring 120 points in three straight, while allowing at least 118 points in three of the past five. This game should be wide-open, and in a contest with a lot of offense, Tatum will certainly get his.
Dejounte Murray Over 33.5 Points + Assists (-106)
Staying in the same game, weâll roll with Dejounte Murray for a second straight night. He went for 19 points and 15 assists in Mondayâs game against Boston, hitting 8-of-22 shots, including a pair of 3-pointers. He has double-doubles in four of the past five games. He was a little more involved offensively on Wednesday against Portland, totaling 30 points with seven assists to hit his target score of Over 35.5 Points + Assists.
Murray is back again Thursday with a very attainable Over 33.5 (-106) in the same category. While playing three games in four days is a concern, he has been tearing it up in March, going for 25.8 PPG, 9.2 APG and 5.1 RPG. Keep striking while the iron is hot, especially for Murray against a familiar foe he just ripped up on Monday.
Khris Middleton Over 1.5 3-Pointers (-138)
The 32-year-old forward has been hitting triples at a solid pace since returning from injury, going for at least two 3-pointers in three of his four games since his March 17 return. As such, he is a good bet to eclipse his target of 1.5 triples against the New Orleans Pelicans on NBA TV.
Middleton has hit at least one 3-pointer in 12 consecutive games. While one wonât cut the mustard, it does show that he has been locked in and that he takes plenty of threes. He has attempted at least four triples in three of four games since returning and has at least four 3-point attempts in 14 of 17 games. While the Pelicans are No. 1 in defensive 3-point percentage at 34.5%, roll with Middleton, who should get to at least two triples in this contest.
