Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Props

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | This Season: 42-63 (-23.56 units)

Derrick Jones Jr. Over 0.5 Three-Pointers Made (-120)

Jones Jr. averages just 8.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, so it’s unsurprising we never talk about his player props. But tonight, he is worth a look as he takes on the Spurs and their weak three-point defense.

Though the Spurs rank 15th in points allowed off three-pointers, they are fourth-worst in the league in opponent three-point percentage. Therefore, if Jones Jr. attempts multiple threes tonight, he should hit this over. He’s attempted multiples in four of his last five, so shooting isn’t the problem. And against the Spurs tonight, making them won’t be the problem either.

Kyle Kuzma Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (-120)

Kuzma averages 6.6 three-point attempts per game. Yet, in his last two games, he’s attempted exactly one shot from beyond the arc. The two performances are outliers compared to the rest of Kuzma’s season, which is why there is value in taking his over tonight.

Kuzma is averaging 2.2 made three-pointers per game, so he could still go under his season average and hit this tonight. The Rockets are solid at defending the three-point line. They rank ninth in the NBA in points allowed from three-pointers per game. But Kuzma doesn’t have to excel tonight; he just needs to shoot more than he has.

Brandon Miller Over 16.5 Points (-110)

This is a great price, especially considering what Miller has done against the Magic in two games this season. The last time they played, he scored 18 points, only slightly down from the 20 he scored against them in November.

Miller has scored 14 or fewer in three consecutive games. His last time out, he scored just six points in 15 minutes. It was his worst scoring performance since Jan. 26. The Magic are good at defending the three-point line, but Miller has shot very well from deep against them this season. We could look at recent stats and say he’s due for a letdown game, but instead, we will look at performance. And Miller’s performances say he should continue to shoot well from long range in this game.
