NBA Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (4/2)
There are nine NBA games tonight. Will Victory Wembanyama continue his incredible production in his third meeting with the Denver Nuggets? Will Klay Thompson make four three-pointers against the Dallas Mavericks after making only three in his first two games against the team? And will Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have his best scoring night in five games against the Philadelphia 76ers?
Here are the three best NBA player props for Tuesday, April 2.
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook) | This Season: 50-66 (-18.76 units)
Victor Wembanyama Under 35.5 Points + Rebounds (-110)
Wembanyama is averaging 21.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game this season. In a good matchup, it wouldn't be surprising to see his total listed as high as it is now. However, against the Nuggets, this seems unnecessarily high.
Wembanyama has faced the Nuggets twice this season, and he has not topped this number in either game. In his last matchup with the team, he combined for 26 Points + Rebounds. In the first matchup, he combined for 33. He has scored 72 points in his last two games, and he went for 40 points and 20 rebounds against the New York Knicks on March 29th. Those numbers are incredible, but in this matchup, he will fall back to earth.
Klay Thompson Under 3.5 Three-Pointers Made (-115)
In two games against the Mavericks this season, Thompson has struggled. In the first meeting, he scored just three points and finished the game 1-of-6 from beyond the arc. In the second game, he wasn't much better as he finished with eight points on 2-of-7 shooting from deep.
He has made more than three three-pointers in just one of his last five games and though he averaged 3.7 makes in March, he had some very favorable matchups at the end of the month that he didn't take advantage of. This is a bad matchup for him, and he could end up having a good night, yet only making three from deep. The price could be better, but this is definitely worth a play.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 28.5 Points (-120)
Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging over 30 points per game despite scoring 24 or fewer in four consecutive. But tonight is a great opportunity for him to go over 30 again as he faces a team that he scored 31 against earlier this season.
Each of these teams ranks in the top 12 in the NBA in points allowed per game, so this does have the chance to be a very low-scoring game. This may actually favor Gilgeous-Alexander, as he is relied upon more consistently to score points as the rest of his teammates struggle. If he gets up more than 20 shots, something he hasn't done in any of his last four games, he will hit this Over.
