NBA Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (4/9)

There is less than a week remaining in the NBA season. Will Jayson Tatum put together his third solid performance against the Milwaukee Bucks this season? How will RJ Barrett fare when he faces the Indiana Pacers tonight? And will Joel Embiid play enough minutes to hit his over against the Detroit Pistons?

Here are the three best NBA player props for Tuesday, April 9.

Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings SportsBook)

This Season: 51-67 (-18.86 units)

Jayson Tatum Over 31.5 points + rebounds (-105)

Tatum averages 27 points and 8.2 boards per game this season. In two full games against the Bucks, he's recorded stat lines of 31 and 8 and 23 and 11. Despite playing some very good defensive teams, he's topped this number in five of his past six games.

Tatum did score only 17 points against the Sacramento Kings on Friday. But even with that lackluster performance, this number is simply too low for this matchup. The Bucks rank 22nd in the league in points allowed per game and 19th in rebounding. Even if Tatum misses his season average in points, he'll pull down enough boards to hit this over.

RJ Barrett Over 28.5 points + assists (-120)

The Toronto Raptors will be without two of their four leading scorers in tonight's game against the Indiana Pacers. However, they still have Barrett and he will be needed from start to finish if the Raptors are going to have any chance in this game. This number opened at 29.5, but bettors quickly knocked it down to 28.5, since the number was four higher than Barrett's season averages in these categories.

However, the Pacers have been bad defensively all season long. They allow the fourth-most points per game in the league, and the Raptors are bound to get close to 120 tonight. With Immanuel Quickley and Scottie Barnes out, someone has to do most of the scoring for the Raptors. Look for Barrett to go well over this number in a very favorable matchup.

Joel Embiid Over 39.5 points + rebounds (-110)

Embiid is questionable for tonight's game against the Pistons. Even if he does play, he's likely to see reduced minutes as the 76ers blow Detroit out and rest Embiid so he can be entirely healthy for the playoffs. But as long as he steps on the court, he's going over this number.

Embiid has scored at least 33 points in each of his three games against the Pistons this season, combining for 109 total. As for rebounds, he's pulled down at least 11 in each game, combining for 40. Embiid averages 33 minutes per game, but he played just 31 and 29 in his two most recent games against the Pistons. With the numbers he's put up, as long as he plays at least 25, he should hit this over.
