NBA Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (12/27)

Welcome to a solid 10-game NBA slate where I’ll provide my favorite props for your liking. It’s been a successful season so far and I’d love to keep it going. Hopefully, you had ‘successfully betting NBA player props’ on your Christmas wish list, because here I am to fulfill those wishes. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s games.

All odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Paolo Banchero OVER 10.5 Reb + Ast (-110)

I don’t bet many combo props but I couldn’t pick between his rebound total or assist total, so I simply picked both. Orlando finds themselves in a big pace-up spot, facing the second-fastest-paced Lakers squad. They also find themselves facing a 24th-ranked defense, which equals an exquisite matchup for the Magic. And I don’t break out the fancy words all too often.

Orlando has been on a tear recently, winning eight of their last nine games. The rookie has been a big factor in both wins with his usage rate reaching above 30 percent in several of those games. He’s seen his play expand exponentially in his short NBA career, and I don’t expect that to be a fluke. Bet on Banchero, now and in the future.

Deandre Ayton UNDER 20.5 Points (-115)

On the other end of the spectrum of matchups is Memphis. While it is a pace-up spot still, they do rep a top-five defense in the league, and I predict Ayton to struggle in taking on Steven Adams and Co.

The Arizona product has been overperforming of late with 19.2 points per game in the last two weeks of play and 23.3 points per game over the last week of play. I expect that to be brought down to his seasonal average which is sub-18 points per game, and that should start tonight.

Despite the odds sitting at -115, this prop still offers solid value. The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet gives this prop a 73 percent chance of hitting with a 36 percent expected value.

Marcus Smart OVER 11.5 Points (-105)

After recently getting engaged, you have to bet Smart’s over, right?

Facing off against Houston makes me want to go to the bank and put everything on the Celtics’ props. The Rockets have the 28th-ranked defense and are a pace-up spot for Boston. Smart’s last two games have returned some low-scoring outings despite plenty of opportunity.

That number should bump up to over 11, in line with his seasonal total. Three of his past five games played have returned double-digit results. We should see a repeat of that tonight.

Other Props:

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope OVER 13.5 Pts + Reb (-120)

Ja Morant UNDER 15.5 Reb + Ast (-120)

James Harden OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-130)
