NBA Player Prop Bet Picks & Predictions: Friday (12/13)

Welcome to an eight-game Friday NBA slate. It's been a great season so far and I hope we continue that trend tonight as we head into the weekend. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements.

The best way to stay sharp regarding NBA player props is by staying on top of the news. The second best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so make sure you're getting the best value. Let's get to it.

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Friday's Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Last Time: 2-1 | Season: 58-37

Ivica Zubac Over 10.5 Rebounds (-113 FanDuel Sportsbook)

After plenty of rest, the Clippers are back in action taking on the Nuggets in Denver. Ivica Zubac's prop line is at 10.5, which is wild considering he's averaged 12 boards a game on the season. Even with it dipping recently, he's still at 10.6 a game in his last five contests.

This almost feels like a trap but Denver has allowed the fourth-most rebounds a game to opposing centers and the Clippers’ defense is a top-five unit in the league. There will be plenty of opportunities for Zubac to gobble up the glass, especially considering the Clippers have the best defensive rebound percentage in the league. This is an easy bet to make. Don't overthink it.

Donovan Mitchell Over 23.5 Points (-106 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

Sometimes, life is simple. Taking over props for Washington Wizards opponents has been a lucrative strategy, and I'm going right back to the well tonight. Washington has the league’s worst defense by a significant margin. They rank fourth in pace, which also offers a pace-up spot for an already top 10-paced Cleveland team.

Washington has allowed the second-most points to point guards on the season and eighth-most to shooting guards. There will be plenty of opportunity for Donovan Mitchell, who has already averaged just around 24 points a game as is and seems due for positive regression - facing the Wizards is the perfect spot. Considering this is near even odds, it makes for a perfect bet.

Devin Booker Over 28.5 Points + Rebounds (-104 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

I know I rag on Washington but Utah isn't much better. If the Wizards didn't exist, the Jazz would rank last in defensive efficiency this season. They are a bit slower-paced at 14th in the league but this is still a pace-up spot for Phoenix.

Devin Booker has averaged 25 points this season with four boards. In a pace-up spot against a bad defense and sub-par offense where there should be more rebounding opportunities, I am surprised at this line.

Even in the past week, Booker’s scoring and rebounding are up. Sure, Kevin Durant might be back, but Booker still projects quite well, around 32 on this combo prop. With the near-even odds in such a wonderful matchup, I love this bet.
