Monday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

This Season: 50-60 (-4.50 units) | Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Fred VanVleet 15+ Points (+135)

Fred VanVleet has not played well over the last week. In his last four games, he's scored 13 or fewer points three times, and he's managed seven or fewer in two of those contests. However, he also has a 21-point game during that stretch, and he's still averaging 14.4 points per game this season.

VanVleet has faced the Lakers just once this season. In that game, he was 5-of-12 from the floor, with 15 points. Entering that game, he had scored in single digits in back-to-back contests, so VanVleet has already proven he can break out of a scoring slump against the Lakers. The Lakers rank 13th in the NBA in scoring defense, so this isn't a good or bad matchup for VanVleet. Therefore, I'll back him to go just over his season average at a fantastic price.

Tyrese Haliburton 4+ Made Three-Pointers (+150)

The Kings are allowing the most three-pointers per game, so I'm backing the Pacers' leading three-point shooter to have no trouble knocking down perimeter shots in this contest. Tyrese Haliburton has made at least four three-pointers in back-to-back games after knocking down four against the stout defense of the Thunder.

Though Haliburton hasn't faced the Kings since December 22nd, he went 4-of-9 from beyond the arc against them in that game. While he's averaging just three makes per game this season, he's shooting 38.7% from beyond the arc. Considering the Kings allow opponents to make 38.6% of their three-pointers, it's hard to imagine Haliburton having any trouble in this game.

Josh Giddey Under 7.5 Assists (-120)

Before even discussing Josh Giddey, let's just look at how good the Thunder defense has been this season. They rank second in points allowed per game, first in opponent field goal percentage and they're allowing the fifth-fewest assists per game. They're a tough matchup for everyone, and Giddey is going to struggle against them.

Giddey is averaging 6.9 assists per game this season. Considering how good the Thunder are defensively, it doesn't make sense for this total to be set above his season average. Giddey has dished out at least nine assists in three of his last four games, but he only managed four in his last game. While he hasn't played the Thunder since the opening week of the season, he only managed four assists in that game.
