Chris Paul Double-Double (+125) and Over 24.5 Points+Assists (-115)

The Point God known as Chris Paul gets a tasteful matchup tonight with the Suns visiting Sacramento. The Kings strictly play in high-scoring affairs thanks to their horrific defense and fast pace of play. They are 26th in Defensive Net Rating, 11th in Pace, and have allowed the 10th most points and 5th most assists per game to Point Guards. That’s Chris Paul’s position. Bet you didn’t know that.

Deandre Ayton and Kevin Durant both remain sidelined for tonight’s game which should open up Paul to see even more usage. He didn’t dish out many assists last game with them both absent, but that’s just an aberration from the norm. They don’t call him the Point God for nothing, you know what I mean? In his two games against the Kings this season, he went off. We’re talking a 17-point, 19-assist banger in one game and a 16/16 game in the other. For what it is worth, in eight games without Ayton available this season, CP3 has recorded a double-double in six of the eight, averaging 27 points+assists per game. The game total between the Kings and Suns is set at 239.5, so there will be plenty of assist and scoring opportunities for Mr. Paul tonight.

Damian Lillard Under 35.5 Points (-125)

Let’s get spicy fading, one of the most prolific scorers in the league right now. Here’s the thing, though: it hasn’t really been Dame Time as of late. He has failed to put up 36+ points in seven of his last 11 games, and the matchup is as tough as it gets for him tonight. The Chicago Bulls possess two of the best defensive guards in the league, Alex Caruso and Patrick Beverley, and on the season, they have allowed the 3rd fewest points per game to Point Guards.

With Afernee Simons and Jerami Grant both listed out, there aren’t many other scoring options on this Portland squad. That should make it easier for Chicago to double-team Dame if necessary, although the likes of Caruso and Bev should make shooting miserable for him anyhow. Lillard has stayed under this lofty line in five of seven games without Simons available this season, and with both Grant and Simons sidelined last game, he scored 30 points in a pristine matchup against the Jazz. It never feels great fading one of the best scorers in the game, but in this matchup and in this situation, it feels right. Now watch him put up 70 points.

Deni Avdija Over 14.5 Points (-115)

The Wizards will once again be without both Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma, which opens the door for Deni Avdija to see more playing time. Last game with both of them out, Avdija scored 16 points against the Nuggets, and he put up 15 points the game prior with Kuzma absent as well.

Washington gets the best matchup possible tonight with the Spurs visiting, so Deni shouldn’t have much trouble getting over this mark. San Antonio is dead last in Defensive Net Rating, 4th in Pace, and has just about their entire team listed on the injury report. Maybe Greg Popovich starts for them tonight, who knows? They’re in tank mode, so they’re welcoming all the scoring possible. Avdija is aware of this and had a season-high 25 points the last time these teams squared off at the end of January.
