Best NBA Player Prop Bets Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (10/20)

Tonight there are only two NBA games. That limits our opportunities for player prop betting, but if you know where to look, there is betting value.

Player prop betting is simple, pick a stat or combination of stats. Rebounds, points, and assists, then bet the player to go over or under that stat.

Let us look at the top player prop bets tonight.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks

There has been plenty of talks this offseason about James Harden. People have been saying that the 3x scoring champion is past his prime, and his days as one of the most prolific scorers are over. Tuesday night, he proved that he can still score in droves. He went 9-14, including 5-9 from three-point range, to score 35 points. He also got to the free throw line 12 times and made all of them.

Harden has averaged under 22.5 points only once since 2012, which was last year when he got traded to Philadelphia. Having a new coach and teammates, and dealing with lingering injuries all contributed to having a down year. Harden has had the off-season to settle into his new team, and he should be back on track to continue to be one of the best scoring guards in the NBA. That makes this one of the best-valued player props of the day.

James Harden Over 22.5 Points (-110)

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo, nicknamed the Greek Freak, has been one of the most fascinating players in the NBA since he entered the league in 2013. He is tall, hard-working, and freakishly athletic - a combination that has made him one of the best rebounders in the game.

During Philadelphia’s game on Tuesday, they got out-rebounded by the Celtics 36-31. That stat line does not show just how poorly the 76ers were at rebounding. There is a chance that sub-par rebounding continues tonight against Milwaukee, where they go against Giannis, who ranked 6th in the NBA in rebounds last season. Giannis has averaged over 11.5 rebounds per game for four years, and consistency matters in player props.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 11.5 Rebounds (+100)

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Neither of these teams had the season they hoped for in 2022 due to injuries to their star players. However, they still have the potential to be two of the best teams in the NBA this year.

The one concern about the Lakers is their lack of depth. That can hurt them late in the game, as we saw against the Warriors on Tuesday. The Lakers were in the game until the third quarter when they started to slow down. That makes this game perfect for Ivica Zubac, who has averaged over 8.5 points per game in four of the last five seasons, to score some easy buckets. Zubac can benefit from the Lakers’ lack of depth this season.

Ivica Zubac Over 8.5 Points (-110)
