Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | This Season: 8-7 (+2.26 units)
Jalen Duren Over 9.5 Rebounds (-130)
Despite playing only eight minutes in his last game, Jalen Duren is still averaging 9.7 rebounds per contest. Before that game, he had back-to-back games of 14 and 17 rebounds. He's missed two consecutive games with an ankle injury, so there's a chance he's limited tonight, but he's also put together solid rebounding nights even when playing fewer than 20 minutes. This includes his six-rebound, 11-minute game at the end of October.
Duren has already faced the Heat this season - pulling down 11 rebounds in 29 minutes. The Heat are allowing 53.2 rebounds per game, which ranks 20th in the league. Even if Duren plays fewer minutes than usual, he pulled down 14 rebounds in a 24-minute performance earlier this year. This is a good matchup at a fair price.
Lauri Markkanen Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-110)
Lauri Markkanen is off to a slow start to the season. He's only played in six games. In the games he has played, he hasn't looked like the player who took the court last season. He's averaging just 2.3 makes and 5.5 attempts from beyond the arc this season. Last season, he averaged 3.2 makes and 8.0 attempts.
In his last game, Markkanen was 3-of-7 from deep. He's now made multiple three-pointers in four of his six games. The Suns are average at defending the three-point line, allowing opponents to make 13.0 per game and 35.9% overall. It's not the best matchup, but Markkanen is a shooter. If he's going to get back to what he was last year, this is the type of game where he'll make at least three shots.
Giannis Antetokounmpo 35+ Points (+120)
Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.6 points per game this season. He's gone over 30 points in six of his nine contests. He's topped 35 points three times. In his last game, he set a season-high with 43 points against the Boston Celtics. Tonight, he gets his best matchup so far.
The Raptors are allowing the most points per game in the NBA this season - 122.7 per game. They're giving up 53.5 points in the paint per game. They're not going to be able to stop Antetokounmpo tonight, so the only thing stopping him from hitting this total is him deciding to take fewer shots than usual. With six consecutive games of at least 21 shots, that seems very unlikely.
