Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

This Season: 15-17 (+0.05 units) | Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Franz Wagner Under 32.5 Points + Rebounds (-115)

While Franz Wagner has had a solid start to the season, this number is too high when going against a team like the Knicks. He's only averaging 23.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Therefore, for him to hit this number, he'd have to go over his season average in these two combined categories by four.

While Wagner can certainly put together a huge night, the Knicks have the 11th-best scoring defense in the league. They've held consecutive opponents to fewer than 100 points, and they are the top team in the league when it comes to opponent rebounds allowed. Wagner hasn't pulled down double-digit rebounds in his last eight games. Additionally, he's scored 21 or fewer in three of his last four. In a tough matchup, I expect those trends to continue.

Kevin Durant Under 2.5 Assists (-105)

Kevin Durant is averaging 3.2 assists per game this season, but he's dished out two in two of his last three games, and he's only topped three assists in one of his last five. Durant has assisted on two or fewer baskets in five of his 11 games. Tonight, he goes up against the Spurs, a team that has improved immensely on the defensive side of the ball.

The Spurs rank ninth in points against, allowing an average of just 110.8 per game. When it comes to assists, they're even better. They're allowing just 24.6 per game, which ranks seventh in the NBA. Though Durant is more than capable of beating any matchup, I trust him more as a shooter. Plus, with how this matchup could go, it's pretty surprising to see his over favored by so much. Therefore, I'll take a bit of a chance with his Uunder.

Fred VanVleet 4+ Made Three-Pointers (+195)

Fred VanVleet was 5-of-9 from beyond the arc in his last game. He's now made at least three three-pointers in his last three. This season, he's averaging 2.5 made threes per contest. While that number is lower than this proposed prop, he has made at least three threes in seven of his last nine.

Tonight, VanVleet goes up against one of the worst three-point shooting defenses in the NBA. The Kings are allowing 15.2 three-pointers per game, and they allowed 23 their last time out. The biggest concern is VanVleet putting up enough shots to hit this total. He's averaging just 7.4 per game. As a 33.3% shooter, he's going to need more than that in this game to hit this number. That said, the Kings are allowing opponents to make 38.2% of their shots from beyond the arc, so at nearly 2-to-1 odds, this is worth the risk.
