Fred VanVleet Over 19.5 Points + Assists (-112)
The Rockets are the hottest team in the league thanks to their nine-game win streak. Their schedule hasn't been the toughest, with none of their opponents having a winning record, but these are the teams you are supposed to beat.
This will be a tough matchup against the Nuggets, who are only two games behind Houston for the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. Denver will be short-handed with Nikola Jokic out and Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon questionable.
Fred VanVleet is coming in going over his combined points + assists prop in three of his last four games and three straight against Denver. The Nuggets are already a below-average defense, ranking 22nd in defensive rating, so this could be a great performance for VanVleet.
Max Strus Over 13.5 Points + Rebounds (-122)
The Cavaliers are in a rough stretch at the moment. The West Coast has not been kind to them, as they've dropped each game and they are on a season-high four-game losing streak. The lack of defense has been the problem, as they've allowed 121.5 points per game during this span.
This is an opportunity to get back on the right track as they face the Jazz, who have the worst record in the Western Conference. Max Strus has contributed within this run, with 13+ combined points + rebounds in nine of his last 14 games. This could be where the Cavs have an overall great performance against Utah, who is 29th in defensive rating (118.1) and points allowed per game (119.8).
