NBA Player Prop Bets, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (4/2)
Welcome to another day of basketball as we are deep into the NBA season with teams jockeying for playoff position or better draft status with only a handful of games remaining. If you're joining us for the first time, welcome. It's been a great year, and I hope we continue that trend as we look to the playoffs.
We have a nine-game slate tonight, so we should have a solid handful of props available. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp regarding NBA player props is by staying on top of the news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value. Let's get to it.

Wednesday's Best NBA Player Prop Bets
Last Time: 1-2 | Season: 133-93
Karl-Anthony Towns Under 37.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
This is under the assumption Karl-Anthony Towns plays tonight, given his prop is listed, but if he misses, I'd find another Knicks player to bet on their under. Cleveland is looking to clinch the Eastern Conference over the next week, and as double-digit favorites tonight, I can't imagine they'll mess it up at home.
The Cavs have done the seventh-best job at limiting opposing centers’ combined points + assists + rebounds this season. They rank 11th over their last 30 games. Yes, this will be a pace-up spot for Towns and Co. After missing yesterday, expect him back tonight. I imagine his knee might at least limit his minutes a bit. Towns is averaging 19 points a night in his last three games. While that's due for positive regression, I don't expect it to happen against the Cavaliers.
Fred VanVleet Over 17.5 Points + Assists (-115 at bet365)
I don't feel I've done as many blind overs against the laughingstock of the NBA, but this one feels like an easy softball. The Rockets are jockeying for playoff position like no other, as they currently sit second in the Western Conference but they can drop to sixth. They are favored by 17 points, and there's no one due more for a bounceback than Fred VanVleet.
VanVleet has averaged eight points a night in his last three games, but that number is over 14 on the season with 15 points in his last two weeks of play. The Jazz have been the second-worst defense in the league since the All-Star break and remain a top-10 pace of play squad. This is an easy bet to make.
Klay Thompson Over 14.5 Points (-110 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
It's insane that Dallas is in serious contention for the playoffs still, or at least the NBA Play-In Tournament, with how their season has gone post-Luka Doncic. But Klay Thompson is still going out there night after night with 27+ minutes and a 22% usage rate, making over three three-pointers a night.
The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet projects Thompson closer to 17 points against Atlanta, and I must agree with the true Holy Grail of sports betting tools. The Hawks are the second-fastest team in the league with a sub-par defense that only ranks worse over their last 15 games. Klay should be hucking threes tonight in a game Dallas is favored at home, a spot where Thompson gets a bit of a shooting bump as well.
