Friday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Last Time: 2-1 | Season: 73-47 (Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit)

Keegan Murray Under 22.5 Pts + Reb (-104 FanDuel)

Sometimes, I just trust the projections, and that’s what I’m doing here with Sacramento playing in Philadelphia tonight. The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet sets this line under 20. The Sheet has been a big reason for my success this year and is well worth the investment for all your betting needs. After scoring 25-plus points in each of his past two games, Philadelphia is a much different atmosphere with a top-10 defensive unit. The Kings may have the best offensive rating in the league, but the 76ers are one of the slowest-paced teams in the league. I simply don’t see the opportunity there for Murray tonight and will be betting the under.

Jabari Smith Jr. Under 8.5 Rebounds (+105 DraftKings)

For your plus odds bet of the day, I’m riding another under on the Houston Rockets’ frontcourt piece and his rebounds tonight. My simple angle here is both teams struggle defensively. Neither team pushes the pace, and with the scoring opportunity high, the rebounding opportunities will be low. Despite both teams ranking in the bottom four of defensive efficiency, the total only sits around 227. It’s tempting to aimlessly bet overs against the Detroit Pistons. But this prop is overinflated. Ride the under.

Devin Vassell Under 22.5 points (-120 FanDuel)

With Vassell averaging less than 22 points a game in the past two weeks and around 18 points a game on the season, I’m surprised where this line sits. Charlotte is one of the best defenses against opposing shooting guards, limiting them to the fifth-lowest scoring average all year. Charlotte is a pace-down spot for the Spurs, and San Antonio owns the 29th-ranked offense in the league. I don’t understand how this prop is so high with the way the Spurs are playing and in this spot.

Dejounte Murray Over 22.0 points (+100 DraftKings)

With two players questionable tonight for Indiana in a high-paced game with sub-par defenses, this is one of the easier over bets I’ve ever made. In each of his past five games, Murray has scored 22-plus points, averaging over 25 a game in the past two weeks. Indiana allows the second-most points per game to opposing shooting guards, and both teams rank in the top six in pace of play. The 26th-ranked defense by Indiana is the icing on the cake of this over bet with Murray playing consistently well. With a total of around 255 points, there should be scoring galore in Atlanta tonight.
