NBA Player Props Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (12/15)

Welcome to a beautiful eight-game slate. There are just enough games to not be overwhelmed yet still find where the value sits as we hopefully enter the weekend on a winning note.

As always, be sure to shop around for the best odds and stay aware of injury news. There are plenty of questionable tags for Friday, meaning plenty of last-second value to grab when news drops. It’s been a remarkably successful season to this point, so let’s keep it going.

Friday’s NBA Best Player Prop Bets

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit | Last Time: 2-0, Season: 53-29

Killian Hayes under 14.5 Pts + Ast (-105 via DraftKings)

I know I am a bit late to the bandwagon but Detroit has been struggling of late with a capital S and continuously betting Pistons players unders is a strategy I believe to be a lucrative endeavor for the foreseeable future.

As a 16-point road underdog, Killian Hayes going under his points and assists is my target tonight. Just on Wednesday at home, Hayes managed six points and six assists across 31 minutes, four more than his season average. On the road, I don’t exactly expect him to bounce back, especially in such a big way.

Philadelphia has been one of the better defenses against shooting guards this season as well. I see Hayes projected close to 12 points and assists so getting this prop at near even odds, it’s a steal and a half.

Victor Wembenyama under 35.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (+114 via DraftKings

Betting unders on Wemby is never fun but the public seems to enjoy betting his overs as I always feel like his props are over-inflated. Getting this at plus odds is true value and besides, I feel like I only give juiced props so want to keep it interesting.

I will lead by saying this play is only active if Anthony Davis plays tonight. The Lakers big man is questionable with a hip injury so monitor the status of Los Angeles’ star. Assuming health, the Lakers have surrendered 21 points to opposing centers, one of the lower numbers in the league. Los Angeles also has a top-half league defense, ranks top-10 in rebound rate, and has been hot of late, winning the in-season tournament and going 4-1 in their last five games with a couple of blowouts.

Coming off a 30-point outing on Monday, it makes sense why his prop is inflated tonight. But yesterday was the only time he had 22-plus points over his last 10 games, it is not a common occurrence. The rookie should come down to earth tonight.

Obi Toppin over 10.5 Points (-104 via FanDuel)

For my “bet against the Wizards” bet tonight I’m riding the Dayton product and his point total in Washington.

After scoring six and five points in his last two games, Toppin’s point total prop has dipped down a bit but don’t let that stop you from betting the overs. In his previous four games, he scored 11-plus points against some solid road matchups too.

On the season, Toppin has averaged over 12 points a game while averaging around 24 minutes. Against a subpar defense with their higher tempo, I will happily take this near-even prop because he should get back to his double-digit scoring ways.
