NBA Player Props Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (12/29)
Yesterday may have been one of my first winless days of the season, but it has still been a remarkable year so far. I will have bad days because there are only so many guarantees - death, taxes and the Pistons losing.
As always, be sure to shop around for the best odds and stay aware of injury news. There are a fair share of questionable tags tonight, meaning plenty of last-second value to grab when news drops.
It's been a remarkably successful season, and I am thankful for all who have tailed, so let's keep it going.

Fridayâs Best NBA Player Prop Bets
Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit | Last Time: 0-3 & Season: 63-36
Kevin Durant Under 13.5 Reb + Ast (via Caesars Sportsbook)
I've found that a lot of the time, playersâ non-point props are a lot less sharp across the books. And that is especially the case for the stars. It seems that predicting the scoring for players is a lot harder than zagging and betting on rebounds or assists.
The future hall of famer tore it up in his last game with 10 boards and 16 assists in a triple-double effort at Houston. The books will be a lot more trigger-happy with players like Kevin Durant performing because everyone sees his stat line and will bet his lines up. Still, he's averaged fewer than seven rebounds and six boards a game this year, and historically speaking, those numbers are lower. He'll regress back to his seasonal average, and this prop is simply too high.
Harrison Barnes Over 15.5 Pts + Reb (via FanDuel Sportsbook)
It hasn't been the best season for Atlanta so far, and I will continue targeting player props against them, considering their 27th-ranked defensive efficiency with a top-five pace of play. There's a reason the total for this game sits around 252, and Harrison Barnes is the player I'm targeting to perform well.
The Kings' forward has had a dip in production recently, with nine points in a blowout loss at Portland. Seven of Sacramento's last nine games have been dubbed 'blowouts,' win or lose, but that is what you get with this team. Sometimes, they absolutely show up and dominate, like in a 15-point victory over Phoenix where Barnes scored 19. Against Atlanta, I am willing to roll the dice that it will be a more positive leaning performance from the forward.
Tyrese Maxey Under 38.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (via FanDuel Sportsbook)
Finally, I'm taking the under on Tyrese Maxey's combo prop as Philadelphia takes on Houston with the lower total of 224.
For me, this is a simple road split play, as the 76ersâ guard appears to bring his B-game whenever he is away from Philadelphia. His last five road games have all resulted in going under this combo prop, so despite 33-point and 35-point efforts last week, I am still happy fading Maxey on the road.
It's surprising that this prop is so high, considering how consistent his splits are. The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet gives this prop a 72% chance of hitting, and that is more than enough for me to lock it in as one of my favorite plays of the day.
