NBA Player Props Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (11/16)

It’s been an immaculately successful season so far and I have been ridiculously hot of late. I cannot expect this kind of success to continue, but I hope you have all tailed so far. This time of year, books become sharper with more and more games being played and it gets a bit more difficult to find value.

Don’t worry, though, it’s still out there. There are only two games tonight, but remember to shop around as odds vary and change across books.

Here are my NBA player prop bets for tonight’s action.

Thursday’s NBA Best Player Prop Bets

All bets are one unit unless specified otherwise | Last Time: 3-0 & Season: 30-11

Josh Giddey Over 19.5 Pts + Reb (-120 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Golden State has been in the news of late for all the wrong reasons. Draymond Green is suspended, Stephen Curry is out and the Warriors will have to bring in some reinforcements to keep up with Oklahoma City tonight.

As is, Golden State leads the league in pace of play, with Oklahoma City close behind, ranking third. There will be possessions galore already in this matchup, and against a middling defense, the Thunder should be scoring just fine.

With Golden State’s offense expected to take a hit further from its 10th-ranked efficiency rating, a few more defensive boards should be available for the taking. You can take any combo prop here with Josh Giddey, but I trust the projections, and 19.5 is simply too low.

Nic Claxton Under 9.5 rebounds (-125 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

As I mentioned, there aren’t many options available, so I may not love it, but it is still a play nonetheless.

Nic Claxton has only played three games this year and hasn’t reached eight boards in two of the three games. This prop is set too high and will continue to drop each game Claxton plays.

Miami is not a great matchup, either. They rank as the fourth-best defensive rebounding squad, and Brooklyn enters ranked 29th in rebound percentage. Bam Adebayo has averaged over 10 boards a game this season, and his number has sat at 13 in the past week. I expected this number to be a 7.5 juiced to the over, so I will happily take the 9.5 under.
