NBA Player Props Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (12/20)

After another sweep on an incredible NBA betting season, we have a solid 10-game Wednesday slate tonight.

There are just enough games to not be overwhelmed, but still find where the value sits as we aim for another winning day. As always, be sure to shop around for the best odds and stay aware of injury news. There are plenty of questionable tags tonight, meaning plenty of last-second value to grab when injury news drops. It's been a remarkably successful season, so let's keep it going.

Thursdayâ€™s NBA Best Player Prop Bets

Spencer Dinwiddie Under 8.5 Assists (-135 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

You will be spending a bit of juice with this prop at -135, but it is well worth it, as this prop has only gone over in five of Spencer Dinwiddieâ€™s last 15 games. Despite having double-digit assists in his last two games, this number is overinflated.

Dinwiddie has been averaging just shy of seven assists per game and that number was even lower last year. He is due for regression in this stat. The Knicks are the 28th-slowest team in the NBA, so itâ€™s a big pace-down spot for the Nets. Dinwiddie has been flying high, but with the Knicksâ€™ above-average defense, the Nets should be limited, and this prop will go under.

Trae Young Under 40.5 Points + Assists (-115 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Despite Trae Young's last few games being more classic Young, with a 30-plus point effort in each of his last three matchups, he's averaged 28 points a game this season, two points fewer than last season.

Here we have another example of a player due for regression. Houston has been performing well this year, ranking third in defensive efficiency. Furthermore, the Rockets are the second-slowest team in the NBA. Not only does Young already have overinflated props, but this is a tough spot to be in for the point guard. The under is the clear play here.

Gordon Hayward Under 16.5 Points (-105 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

I know it isn't exciting, but I will indeed be betting three under tonight. It's simply what tonight calls for. Of course, this assumes Hayward plays, as he is probable with a stomach virus.

Hayward has averaged over 19 points per game in the last two weeks. During the season, that number is 15. He's missed the last two games, giving him plenty of time to cool off and regress to his seasonal means. Indiana may be a pace-up spot and lack a respectable defense, but this line is too high.
