NBA Player Props Bet Odds & Picks: Wednesday (4/17)

Welp. We finally made it. The NBA Play-In is underway with games starting last night. Now, we have the Heat-76ers and Hawks-Bulls in what, hopefully, should be solid games. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp regarding NBA player props is by staying on top of the news.

It will be a weird day with a lot of questionable tags out there and some players resting. The second-best way to stay sharp is to shop around at different books. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so make sure you're getting the best value. What a time to be alive. Let's get into it and find some winners.

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Last Time: 3-3 | Season: 125-96

Trae Young Over 33.5 Points + Assists (-108 on DraftKings)

When it comes down to it, I expect the stars to shine when it gets to this point in the season. Atlanta has owned a top-15 offense on the season with the Bulls sitting in the bottom 20 in defense in the league. The Bulls have allowed the eighth-most assists to opposing point guards while Trae Young has been averaging 25+ points on the season. After being out so long it has taken him a bit to get back into form. I don't doubt he will see high run and high usage tonight against Chicago. He's projected around 38 for this combo prop. I am happy to trust the value of -108 here.

Jimmy Butler Under 35.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-120 on FanDuel)

I know I just said I was following the stars as a general strategy for the playoffs but there are exceptions. Jimmy Butler is an exception. The small forward is projected around 31, here and it makes sense. Playing at Philadelphia is already tough and the 76ers own the third-best defense in the league across their last 15 games. I know Joel Embiid currently has a questionable tag by his name but reports show he's expected to play. It will be two slower teams and after last year it's hard to doubt Butler and the Heat, however, I'm going to follow the projections. If it burns me, so be it.

Coby White Over 18.5 points (-118 on DraftKings)

Most teams are pace-up spots for Chicago but Atlanta is a top-10 paced team that should push Bulls players to higher scoring opportunities. Atlanta ranks 26th defensively and White has averaged 19 points a game on the season and 21 over the last week. This line does not make sense. It is juiced a bit but at -118 I would’ve expected 20 points for the line. This is a solid value and Atlanta has allowed around 24 points a game to opposing point guards. Give me the over here.
