NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Friday (2/9)

Welcome to a six-game NBA Friday slate!

I know I have hammered this point home already, so I don’t mean to sound like a broken record, but staying up to date on NBA injury news is a fantastic way to stay sharp in the NBA betting landscape, whether it’s prop betting or DFS. There are a fair amount of questionable tags tonight, so be extra aware of who’s in and who’s out.

Let’s get some winners as we head into the weekend!

RJ Barrett Under 25.5 Pts + Ast (-115 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Something I respect about Houston’s game is their defense. Ranking seventh in defense and at an almost identical pace as the Raptors, I expect Dillon Brooks and Co. to give RJ Barrett problems. After a 23-point outing last game out, the Duke product’s line received a minor bump tonight. But I imagine he’ll come back to the average with a sub-20-point scoring game and won’t have enough assists to make up for it in a game where Barrett should go under his combo prop.

Deni Avdija Under 10.5 Reb + Ast (+105 via BetMGM)

I took Deni Avdija’s under the last time Washington played, which worked out quite well. So now I’m going right back to the well. The Wizards are the worst rebounding team in the league. We already knew that, but Boston ranks fifth, so the Wizards should struggle to grab boards. As 16-point favorites, Washington probably won’t do much scoring for Avdija to rack up assists, and I simply don’t see the opportunity to be there for the Wizards forward

Paul Reed Under 11.5 Reb + Ast (-115 via BetMGM)

I trust the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet, which gives Reed a 75% chance of going under his combo prop. While the odds are a bit juiced near -115, that’s still a remarkable expected value. This prop is incredibly inflated and has gone under in 12 of the last 15 games. You may be tempted blindly to take overs with a sub-par defense in Atlanta, but they’re still a better rebounding team than Philadelphia. This one feels risky, but I’m guessing the line will close lower than where it’s at right now, so jump on the under.
