NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Thursday (1/9)
We're in the dog days of the NBA season as we're over a third of the way through the season as we turn our heads to the NBA All-Star game. It's been a great season, and I hope we continue that trend tonight. We have a solid eight-game slate tonight so there are plenty of props to choose from. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp regarding NBA player props is by staying on top of the news. The second best way is to shop around at different books. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms so make sure you're getting the best value. Let's get to it.

Thursdayâs Best NBA Player Prop Bets
Last Time: 2-1 | Season: 79-55
Tyler Herro Over 34.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-113 Caesers)
Facing the Utah Jazz isn't as exciting for betting player prop overs as say the Washington Wizards or Chicago Bulls, but it's still up there. The Jazz own the worst defense in the league and it's at the bottom by a bit. They allow 25 points, five boards, and 11 assists to opposing point guards â the most in the league â and Herro should be able to get hot from deep as Utah allows the third most three-point attempts against them. This is an easy spot for Herro who has covered this line in half his last 15 games against tougher opponents and we actually see better scoring splits when he's on the road. Don't think too hard about this one for Herro who will see the floor for 35 minutes and should see an increased usage rate tonight.
Ryan Dunn Over 10.5 Pts + Ast (-107 Caesers)
Given the current state of the Phoenix Suns, now is the time to buy low on Dunn's props as he sees more playing time while starting in the rotation. In his current spot, the Suns rookie is playing about 27 minutes a game while averaging 11 points and over an assist a night. He's covered this line in four of his last five games and gets a great matchup against Atlanta at home. While their defense has improved, the Hawks still allow the third-most points to opposing shooting guards with a bottom-10 defense and the second-fastest pace of play. I'd set this line closer to 12 because Dunn will have his opportunities even if a lot of the usage goes through Durant and Booker.
Jaren Jackson Jr. Under 31.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-110 DraftKings)
The Memphis power forward is questionable tonight so of course take this with a grain of salt but assuming he plays fully, I see much value in the under to Jackson Jr.'s props. Every team in the NBA is a pace-down spot for Memphis but Houston is a bottom 10 team in terms of possession rate with the third-best ranked defense to go along with it. It's pretty straightforward. His leg might limit him a bit and he's projected closer to 27 on this combo prop buy the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet which I'd advise everyone invest in fully for their sports betting needs.
