We've hit the ground running as we are over two weeks into the NBA season and we're well on our way to a profitable. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. Thursdayâs Best NBA Player Prop Bets
Last Time: 3-3 | Season: 20-14
Rudy Gobert Over 10.5 Rebounds (-135 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
This is a juiced line, so if you care to go for some alt lines, be my guest. While Minnesota's defense has taken a bit of a hit early on this season, it still ranks in the top half of the league. With Rudy Gobert at the helm, there's always a consistent floor. What helps is going up against the third-worst efficient offense in the Chicago Bulls.
Zach LaVine is questionable. If he misses the game that would only help this line as there will be a lot of shots taken with the Bulls ranked as the fastest-paced team in the league. I don't expect many to go in. This is a bet on opportunity tonight as Gobert has averaged 10 boards a game this season. The line should be higher given the matchup and his historical performance.
Lauri Markkanen Over 29.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-110 on ESPN Bet)
There's a lot up in the air tonight with Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen officially questionable for their bout against the Milwaukee Bucks, but this play assumes Markkanen plays. He's been practicing this week. After a week and a half off, it appears he's good to go. If that is the case, this line is way too low. Expecting normal usage, Markkanen should see the floor at least 30 minutes and you can pencil him in for 20 points and seven boards.
That feels more like a floor performance than an average with both teams ranking in the top 10 in pace of play and in the bottom half of the league in defensive output. Giannis Antetokounmpo is also questionable. If he misses, I only love this prop more. I'd also lean Damian Lillard over this combined prop line (Points + Rebounds + Assists) wherever available, as his usage soars whenever Antetokounmpo is limited.
Stephon Castle Over 14.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-105 on ESPN Bet)
With Jeremy Sochan out tonight, Stephon Castle will slot into the starting lineup. With a pass-first Chris Paul, and the ability to dish to Victor Wembanyama down low, this line is way too low for Castle's expected playing time tonight.
The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet, one of the best tools in the land, projects his Points + Rebounds + Assists number above 17, which makes this great value at near even odds. This will be his second start of the year. With the injuries the Spurs face - also missing Tre Jones and Devin Vassell - Castle will have to be on the floor a lot tonight. He should easily reach this line. Three overs in one day. What a treat.
