NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Thursday (2/29)

Welcome to an eight-game Thursday NBA slate! With the All-Star break behind us, we can truly start grinding the season away as I try not to jump ahead on playoff races and seed position jockeying. It's been a solid ride so far, so let's keep it going after the break.

As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp when it comes to NBA player props is by staying on top of the news.

Anyway, let's get into our top NBA player props for Thursday, Feb. 29.

Thursday’s Best NBA Player Props

Last Time: 1-2 | Season: 108-77 | All wagers are for 1 unit

Luguentz Dort Over 13.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-120 via BetMGM)

For a game with Oklahoma City favored by double-digits where Luguentz Dort will be in a high pace-up spot, this is an easy over bet. The Thunder small forward isn't the most consistent but in good spots, he usually performs.

The Spurs are the definition of a good spot to be in for opponents. Dort has consistently followed duds with impressive performances, and he's been consistent on the boards. This is merely following his stock and taking teams against the Spurs.

Alperen Sengun Under 30.5 Points + Rebounds (-105 on ESPN BET)

I imagined this number to be lower on the road against a team with a solid frontcourt. Alperen Sengun has gone under this combo prop line in 11 of his last 15 games, and I am more than happy to bet it gets to 12.

The Suns have allowed the ninth-fewest points per game to opposing centers. Phoenix also ranks third in limiting opposing boards. So, I expect Sengun to fall under his seasonal averages, especially now that Jusuf Nurkic is healed from his ankle. I haven't been one to bet unders much this season, but this is a prime example.

Jonathan Kuminga Under 16.5 Points (-115 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

For another “trust the numbers” bet, I'm taking Jonathan Kuminga's points under the total. The Warriors are going against the single slowest team in basketball, the Knicks. I simply don't see much opportunity here.

The Warriors power forward has indeed elevated his play of late, averaging 19 points in the last two months. Still, on the season, that number sits just over 15, and in the last couple of weeks, lower. Sure, he can score plenty against Washington, but the Knicks own a much better defense at a much slower pace.
