NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (2/28)

Welcome to a six-game NBA Wednesday slate! With the All-Star break behind us, we can truly start grinding the season away as I try not to jump ahead on playoff races and seed position jockeying. It's been a solid ride so far, so let's keep it going after the break.

As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp when it comes to NBA player props is by staying on top of the news.

Anyway, let's get into our top NBA player props for Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Props

Last Time: 1-2 | Season: 107-75 | All wagers are for 1 unit

Pascal Siakam Over 3.5 Assists (-115 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Considering C.J. McCollum and Zion Williamson are both questionable for tonight, I had to find some overs to bet for the Pacers, with the total just shy of 240. Pascal Siakam dishing out assists is where I landed.

The Pacers forward has averaged nearly five assists a game on the season and has gone over this prop in nine of his last 15 games. Of course, it's a pace-down spot, but playing at home, I will trust this Indiana offense. I'm surprised at how low this number is and only imagine it will either rise or the odds will get shorter, so get it while you can.

Reggie Jackson Over 9.5 Points + Rebounds (-115 via BetMGM)

For another prop where I am truly surprised at how low it's set at, we have Reggie Jackson's points and rebounds. The Denver guard is projected closer to 13 on the combo prop, which offers plenty of value despite the semi-juiced odds.

Considering Sacramento is one of the bigger pace-up spots to offer Denver, I expect Jackson to get plenty of run here. He's been consistently averaging over 24 minutes a game, and I see him easily reaching that number tonight, if not going over. He will have more opportunity to score with higher possessions and he's already been averaging double-digit scoring on the season. He may be a bit volatile, but I see this as one of the better plays on the slate tonight.

Darius Garland Over 6.5 Assists (+120 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Considering Chicago is the king of unders, this is a bit riskier of a play with the plus odds, but Chicago did just lose to Detroit and has a middling defense. Garland can keep dishing it to Donovan Mitchell and be just fine.

Garland has been averaging 6.7 assists over the last two months of play. Considering that number is 8.0 in the last couple of weeks, I am confident in taking this over. I also trust the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet, too. The sheet gives this a 62% chance of hitting with high expected value, so I am all over this one tonight.
