Kristaps Porzingis OVER 19.5 points (-113)
Kristaps Porzingis has averaged 33 minutes per game and 15.7 points this season. Despite averaging fewer than his point prop, the Pistonsâ defense is like swiss cheese, with the 26th-ranked defensive rating.
In their two losses this year, Detroit allowed 124 and 130 points to the Pacers and Knicks, respectively. The big men the Pistons have faced haven't exactly put up the most impressive numbers, but they have been highly efficient. Gog Bitazde went 6-8, tallying 14 points off the bench for the Pacers in 25 minutes.
The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet projects Porzingis to tally 23 points today, giving it a +33% expected value. I am tailing the projections here and am in on Porzingis having a solid scoring outing.
Andrew Wiggins UNDER 6.5 rebounds (-140)
The Phoenix Suns not only have the fourth-best defense early this season, but they rank seventh in defensive rebounding percentage at 75.7 percent.
Andrew Wiggins has been overperforming on the boards this season, averaging 6.3 rebounds per game but 4.4 boards per game for his career. The forward is bound to regress when it comes to snagging missed shots, as there are plenty of other options on the court to grab a board.
Even if the Warriors are missing shots, I trust the Sunsâ rebounding abilities and regression expectations to hold true here. I am riding the under for Wiggins' rebounds.
Cade Cunningham OVER 19.5 points (-115)
Before the season, I bought into a big breakout year for the former Poke. The second-year guard is averaging 18.3 points per game so far, and I only expect that to improve.
Despite his solid facilitating - he's averaging 7.0 assists per game - I see him being more of a go-to guy for the Pistons as the season progresses. He took a season-high 19 shots last time out against Indianapolis, and if this game is close, Cunningham can easily cover his point total late in the game.
