NBA Player Props Bets, Picks & Predictions: Friday (11/8)

We've hit the ground running as we are over two weeks into the NBA season and we're well on our way to a profitable season. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp regarding NBA player props is by staying on top of the news. The second-best way is to shop around at different books. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you're getting the best value.

It's a big slate today, so we have plenty of player prop options as we head into the weekend.

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Friday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Last Time: 1-2 | Season: 21-16

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 26.5 Points (-105 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Listen, I know Houston is not a great matchup. They are a big pace down spot to Oklahoma City and their defense ranks in the top five in the league. It's a tough spot. But I am a Shai Gilgeious-Alexander Stan through and through. This prop line is too low.

The Rockets have allowed the 11th-most points per game to opposing point guards. Last year, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged over 30 points a game at home. This year, his usage and playing time have stayed steady around the same as last year’s averages. However, the scoring has seen a slight dip. He's due for positive regression and this line is too low at near even odds.

Tim Hardaway Jr. Over 12.5 Points (-110 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

An opponent that's a pure nuts matchup is the Hawks so far early into the year. Their defense is fourth-worst in the league while their pace of play is fourth highest - what more could you ask for? Better yet, the Hawks have allowed far and away the most points to opposing small forwards, as they've notched nearly three more three-pointers made a game than against any other team.

The difference from one and two in terms of three-pointers made is the same as second to 15th. Tim Hardaway Jr. will get his opportunity here and he's see the floor for around 30+ minutes, which means it's an easy backing for him to go over his point total tonight.

Bradley Beal Over 18.5 Points + Assists (-128 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

After a seven-point outing with three assists in Bradley Beal’s last game against Miami, this line has taken a hit. It doesn't help that Phoenix is going against Dallas, the third-most-efficient defense in the league. This line is too low.

The BettingPros NBA Prop Bet Cheat Sheet projects Beal closer to 23 on this combo prop, which aligns with his averages a year ago. Surrounded by Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, Beal should be able to get his fill while adding up assists against the Mavericks.
