NBA Playoff Best Bets, Picks, & Predictions: Monday, April 24th (2023)

The first round of the playoffs is in full force. Several teams are one game away from moving on to the second round. There are two games tonight, Milwaukee vs. Miami (2-1) and Memphis vs. Los Angeles (2-1). Two games mean limited betting opportunities tonight, but I will review some of the best bets tonight.

Milwaukee Bucks at Miami Heat

Game 4 continues the series in Miami, where the Heat hope to add to their 2-1 lead over Milwaukee. The Heat are 27-14 at home this season. That means being in Miami is an advantage for them. They will need to continue to score points as they have throughout this playoff series but have a chance to end tonight ahead 3-1. 

Milwaukee has been without Giannis Antokounmpo since early in Game 1. He is questionable in this game, but if Giannis plays, that would mean more scoring for the Bucks. Milwaukee has found scoring in Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez while Giannis has been out. That means this team can score points without him if needed. 

Including the regular season and playoffs, these teams have gone over the point total five out of seven times. Both teams have also scored over the total points in all the playoff games. Giannis being questionable makes the Moneyline and Spread difficult for bettors to judge. The Total Points play is safe because these teams have consistently gone over.

Memphis Grizzlies at Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers vs. Grizzlies has been one of my favorite series to watch. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are one of the NBA’s most fun combinations. The addition of the Dillon Brooks drama has made the series even more enjoyable. This series will have plenty of back and forth and could go into the seventh round. 

This series has had all close games. The final scores do not look like it, but all the games were close until the last minute. That has included the regular season series too. I think either of these teams can win any night. That means there is betting value in the plus money.

I think the Lakers win the series 4-3. That is why I like the plus money for the Grizzlies tonight. They have kept all the games close and need to win this game to keep the series close. Sometimes bettors need to bet the most value, and tonight that play is the Memphis Grizzlies Moneyline.
