Tuesdayâs Best NBA Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Jamal Murray Over 24.5 Points (-120)
One of the key reasons that the Nuggets have had so much success this season is due to the well-rounded play of Jamal Murray. The star guard averaged 20.0 points this season while dishing out 6.2 assists per game.
The 26-year-old has found an extra gear this postseason, as he's now up to 25.9 points per contest. Considering the Lakers were the fifth-fastest team this year (103.0 possessions per game), I think we'll see this series being played at a higher pace. That should present an opportunity for Murray to score plenty of points. Let's lock in Murray to score at least 25 points on his home court tonight.
Nikola Jokic Under 51.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)
Nikola Jokic was snubbed in the MVP race, in my opinion. He averaged nearly a triple-double this season with 24.5 points per game, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists. It's insane how dominant he was during this campaign.
But, the 28-year-old will have a tall task this series as he's running into Anthony Davis. I think the matchup with Davis will cause some problems early in the series for Jokic. While he'll likely still put up decent numbers, I simply think 51.5 points, rebounds and assists is too high of a mark to reach.
With Davis on the block, it'll likely cut into Jokic's rebounds and take away some of the easy buckets he gets down low. It may take some time in this series for the Joker to settle before he starts putting up monster numbers. Let's take him under in Game 1.
LeBron James Over 5.5 Assists (-120)
LeBron James continues to shine at the age of 38. While he may not be lighting it up like he was years ago in Miami or Cleveland, he's still finding ways to contribute on a nightly basis this postseason. He's averaging 23.4 points per game this playoffs while securing 10.0 rebounds and dishing out 5.3 assists.
As mentioned above, I think this will be a higher-paced series opener in Denver. Theoretically, more possessions mean more opportunities for James to add assists throughout the night. He'll likely draw a substantial amount of attention when he has the ball, which should lead to open teammates to score buckets. I like for James to dish out at least six assists tonight. He's cleared this threshold in three of his last four games.
