NBA Playoffs Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (5/14)

The Boston Celtics came so close to an NBA Championship last year. They acknowledged that they’d be back in the NBA Finals this season.

After falling behind 3-2 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics earned a huge win on the road in Game 6 to force a Game 7 back in Boston.

The Celtics are favorites to move on into the Eastern Conference Final against the Miami Heat. But the Celtics still have to beat the 76ers tonight. Can the Celtics escape the 76ers for one last time?

Here are a couple of same-game parlays to consider for today’s Game 7 on ABC.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics

James Harden might be the second-leading scorer on the 76ers in the playoffs. But he’s been so inconsistent. He’s shooting 43.8% from the field in this series against the Celtics but has shot 25% or worse in three of six games. He’s even shooting 36.4% from downtown and just came off a 0-for-6 performance from three in Game 6. I’ll take his Under.

Meanwhile, his teammate, Tyrese Maxey, has been heating up. Maxey has nailed nine of his last 21 three-pointers over the last two games. Yes, he’s shot 21 threes over the last two games. If he’s averaging over ten threes per game over the last two, I certainly like him to knock down three threes.

Then there’s Malcolm Brogdon. He’s added 14.5 points per game against the 76ers this season. He’s averaging 16.7 points per game in this series. Brogdon has hit at least 15 points in all but one game against the 76ers in this series. Brogdon has shot 55.3% from three and is taking nearly 13 shots per game from the field. Plus, he’s getting 30 minutes regularly off the bench.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics

Jaylen Brown is averaging four assists per game against the 76ers in this series. He’s hit at least four assists in all but one game in this series. Brown is going to get close to 40 minutes tonight. He’s hit at least four assists in 65% of his last 20 games and will distribute enough in Game 7 to earn at least four assists tonight.

On the other hand, Joel Embiid isn’t a bad passer. But he’s averaging just 2.2 assists in this series. That’s because he’s taking close to 20 shots per game and getting to the foul line over 10 times a night. He will be aggressive when the ball is in his hands, as he should be. He’s the MVP and earned over 33 points per game this year.

Lastly, Tyrese Maxey is earning close to 40 minutes a night too. He’s added five rebounds per game against the Celtics in this series. He’s hit this number in four straight games and has nailed this line in six of his last ten. Maxey’s been way more aggressive on the glass, and it’s showing over the last week.
