NBA Playoffs Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Thursday (4/25)

What a shocking result in Boston last night. The Jimmy Butler-less Heat managed to win on the road as +14.5 underdogs. That’s the beauty of sports though, every dog has its day. It’ll be interesting to see if any of these teams down 0-2 can claw their way back now that they are home. Let’s craft a couple of Same Game Parlays to make these contests even more intriguing than they already are.

New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers

Typically known for his scoring prowess, Jalen Brunson has been held in check against the 76ers so far. He has shot an abysmal 16-for-55 in the first two games, scoring 22 and 24 in those contests. This isn’t something entirely new though. Brunson has scored just 20, 19, 21, and 29 points against Philly in the regular season as well. Whatever Nick Nurse is scheming up is working, so let’s ride the trend a take the Under on the Knicks’ go-to guy.

Although his scoring is down, Brunson is rebounding at an amazing clip, averaging a potential of 10.5 rebounds opportunities per game. He has turned that into eight and seven boards. With so much attention focused on boxing out Joel Embiid, look for Brunson to scoop up at least five rebounds in this one.

Nick Nurse trusts Kyle Lowry as much as anyone in these games. The former Raptor and veteran guard has played 39 and 34 minutes across the first two games of this series, putting up 17 and 26 PRA in those matchups. This line is simply too short for a starter who will see that much time on the floor.

Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers lost a heartbreaker in Game 2 and are in must-win territory back home in Los Angeles. It’s hard to see them coming back at this point, considering they have now lost 10 straight games to the reigning champions. One player that continues to terrorize them is Michael Porter Jr. Over his last 12 games he has averaged 17.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, exceeding this Points+Rebounds prop in eight of those contests. There’s no reason to think that trend stops now, considering he has gone over that in four of five games against the Lakers this season, averaging 30.4 Points+Rebounds in those games.

Last game notwithstanding, Jamal Murray has been dishing it out with ease against the Lakers this season. He has recorded six, 11, 11, 10, and five assists in their five meetings this year. He finished with five assists last game but had a potential of 12, suggesting that he should get back to going over this 6.5 number again. Los Angeles has allowed the fourth most assists per game to opposing Point Guards this season for what it is worth.

It’s time for Austin Reaves to step up for the Lakers. He has accrued just 20 and 17 combined PRA in the first two games, which presents us with a discounted rate on his line of 21.5. That’s a number he has gone over in 62-of-86 (72.1%) of games this season averaging 25.6 PRA. Before his two subpar outings in Games 1 and 2, Reaves had played admirably against Denver. He put up 35, 27, and 26 PRA against them in the regular season, and went over this in all four games last postseason as well, averaging 30.3 PRA in those contests.
