NBA Preseason Odds, Picks & Predictions

Check out our top NBA preseason picks and predictions for today’s games.

Grizzlies vs. Pacers

Despite many players on the injured list, the Memphis Grizzlies are 2-1 heading into their fourth preseason game of the year. The Grizzlies most recently knocked off the Bulls, 124-121, without Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., and other starters who will get many minutes in the regular season. It's unclear if Memphis will have those guys back for tonight's game, but it's probably unlikely at this point. Meanwhile, the Pacers notched their first preseason win against the Cavaliers. Indiana added 129 points and got a significant contribution from Bennedict Mathurin, who scored 25 points in only 19 minutes. The Pacers want to play fast, and they're good at it. Take the Over 234.5 (-115).

Pick: Over 234.5 (-115)

Wizards vs. Nets

The Nets are onto their second, while Washington has played three preseason games. The Wizards have had a bizarre preseason. They were crushed by Toronto and New York but added a home win, 113-95, against Toronto on October 11. They've looked dreadful on the road and solid at home. But they'll be on the road against the Nets. Brooklyn shot 43% from the field in losing to the Clippers last time out. However, they lost because the Clippers shot 40% from downtown and nearly 54% from the field. I highly doubt the Wizards shoot that well. Take the Nets at -2.5 (-115).

Pick: Nets -2.5 (-115)

76ers vs. Hawks

The Philadelphia 76ers already shut down Joel Embiid for the remainder of the preseason. Paul George is also day-to-day with an injury and could also end up missing this game entirely against the Hawks. Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Caleb Martin all missed the last game for rest but could be back for this one. Meanwhile, the Hawks knocked off Indiana 131-130 in their first preseason game. No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher scored 18 points in 23 minutes off the bench and looked really good. The starting lineup was also very consistent for the Hawks. At home, I'll back Atlanta +1.5 (-120).

Pick: Atlanta +1.5 (-120)

Bulls vs. Bucks

Milwaukee started Giannis Antetokounmpo in the last game against the Lakers. He played 20 minutes and recorded 20 points and seven rebounds with 18 shot attempts. Bobby Portis was excellent off the bench, but I'm afraid the Bucks don't have enough depth on their roster right now. On the other hand, the Bulls most recently lost to a Memphis team playing their second-string lineup. That's ultimately very embarrassing. The Bulls shot nearly 42% from three and only 41.2% from the field against Memphis. On the other hand, Milwaukee has scored no more than 102 in either game this preseason. Consider backing the Under 225.5 (-115).

Pick: Under 225.5 (-115)

Mavericks vs. Clippers

The Clippers will host the Mavericks in Inglewood on Monday in what should be an interesting matchup. Los Angeles has played some of the lowest scoring games we’ve seen this preseason. Averaging 102 PPG this preseason actually has them at 2-1. This is because of some phenomenal defense where they’ve only allowed 98.3 PPG. It’s not poor shooting either that’s been the issue, they’ve just played at a slow tempo. For Dallas, they’re 0-2 in the preseason but both games were close defeats. However, they’ve been outrebounded in both games and against a team like Los Angeles that wants to slow the game down and limit possessions, that could be a big problem. Dallas will also likely be without Luka Doncic again and his presence, although it’s just a preseason, makes a big impact on this team. I like the Clippers to win this one but with lineup uncertainty this time of year, I feel a lot more confident in taking a side on the total. It’s the lowest total on the board for Monday, but with a play style from the Clippers that will dictate the pace, I’ll still take the under.

Pick: Under 216.5 (-110)
