NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions: Tuesday (4/4)
There are 13 games in action on the final Tuesday of the regular season, and the storylines are very juicy. As teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans try to avoid the play-in tournament altogether, they will need help from their biggest players to do so. And what about the teams with nothing to play for? Should we expect anything from their best players with the end of the year so close?
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for Tuesday, April 4th's NBA action.
Tuesdayâs Best PrizePicks NBA Player Predictions
This Season: 18-17
Corey Kispert Under 21.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Kispert, who is averaging just 10.8 points per game this season, has scored at will in his last five games. He has set new season-high marks in his last two games, scoring 29 against the New York Knicks on Sunday after scoring 27 against the Orlando Magic on Friday. While trends say that he will likely go over this number, we think he is going to revert to his average.
This number is very low, and it seems like oddsmakers are begging us to take the over. Additionally, if Kispert has not been rebounding or dishing out assists at a very high rate. He has been good for three or four in the two categories combined throughout the year. That means he has to score at least 18 points. While he has done that in four of his last five games, he's actually only done it two other times all season.
James Harden Over 25.5 Points + Rebounds
Harden has had a bit of a rough stretch scoring the ball. While he has hit double digits in assists in six of his last seven games, he has scored 15 or fewer points in four of his last five. However, in his three games against the Boston Celtics this season, he has put up very good numbers, and we think this is exactly the matchup he needs to get back on track for his season average in scoring.
Harden has gone over this combo prop in each of his three games against the Celtics this season, and he has scored at least 21 in each contest. He has also pulled down a combined 17 rebounds in his three meetings with Boston. If he gets near that average of six rebounds tonight, then all he needs to do is score 20 to hit this prop.
Donovan Mitchell Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made
This is really high number, but it makes a lot of sense considering what Mitchell has done of late. He has put up at least nine three-point attempts in six consecutive games, and he has hit at least three of them in every one of those contests.
The Orlando Magic are the sixth-best three-point defense in the NBA, but Mitchell torched them for seven deep balls in their last meeting. Mitchell has scored 40 in three straight games, and while he may not do that again, he is going to put up enough threes to hit this over.
