Wednesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions

PrizePicks record: 29-21

Nikola Vucevic Over 28.5 Points+Rebounds

This is an incredible spot for Vucevic to go off against the Hornets. The Bulls are without Zach LaVine, which opens up nearly 17 shots up for Chicago. The matchup is excellent here too: Charlotte is 25th in opponent points in the paint, dead last in defensive net rating and allows the 10th-most points and second-most boards per game to centers. Recently we have seen the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert (38 PR) and the Brooklyn Nets’ Nic Claxton (34 PR) both have plenty of success against them. Vucevic should be able to replicate a similar output to them.

Joel Embiid Over 30.5 Points

The reigning MVP put up a season-best 48 points against the Washington Wizards earlier this year, so who’s to say he’s not getting 31 in this spot. Embiid averages 32 points per game as it is this season, and has eclipsed this number in 10 of 16 games. This matchup is as good as it gets, too. Washington allows the most points per game to centers and second-most points in the paint. Daniel Gafford has no business slowing Embiid down in this one.

De’Andre Hunter Over 13.5 Points

Hunter doesn’t have the same name value of Vucevic and Embiid, but he has just as great of a matchup as them. The Nets allow the most points per game to small forwards, and this game profiles to be a high-scoring affair with the highest total on the board total at 241. These teams actually met a couple of weeks ago, and Hunter put up 25 points in that contest. Since then he has played five games without teammate Jalen Johnson, who is sidelined for the foreseeable future. Over that span, he is averaging 17.2 points per game, and ought to be able to find at least 14 in this game.
