Cleveland Cavaliers @ Dallas Mavericks
- Leg 1: Cleveland Cavaliers First Half/Full-Time Winner (-145)
- Leg 2: Jarrett Allen 10+ Points (-320)
- Leg 3: Donovan Mitchell 4+ Assists (-320)
The Cavaliers are crushing the 2024-25 campaign to the point where some are even speculating if Cleveland will match or surpass the Chicago Bulls/Golden State record of 72 wins in a season. Time will tell on that front... For tonight, the Cavs are in a fantastic spot to claim their league-leading 30th win of the season.
Dallas is heading into this contest one superstar shy, as Luka Doncic will once again not be available. As talented as the Mavericks are as a collective unit, they seemingly may not have the firepower needed to best the current top team in the NBA. Cleveland has lost once in its previous 10 games and owns the ninth spot in defensive rating over that span.
Since losing Doncic to injury on Christmas Day, the Mavericks have won one game. This would have been a tremendous matchup if both teams were at full strength. Unfortunately, the reality is Dallas is in a very tough spot and should probably be trailing at both halftime and the end of the game.
Jarrett Allen has been on a scorching hot streak over the last three contests, and we are tailing him once again this evening on a low points total prop. Allen has scored at least 10+ points or more in six of his last eight games while shooting over 73% from the field.
The Cleveland center has successfully cleared 9.5 points in the last two matchups against Dallas, finishing with 24 and 19 points. As long as Allen can see at least 28-30 minutes on the court tonight, that should be more than enough time to score at least 10 points.
Donovan Mitchell is currently averaging 4.6 assists per game on the season and has dished out at least four boards in the last 12 contests. Dallas concedes over 26 assists per game to the opposition while playing at the 10th-highest pace. There isn't too much to this selection. Mitchell has recorded four or more assists in 12 straight games, whether the games are competitive or not.
Parlay Odds: +168
New York Knicks @ Oklahoma City Thunder
- Leg 1: Knicks +5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Under 221.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Karl-Anthony Towns 1+ Three-Pointer Made (-850)
- Leg 4: Josh Hart Over 15.5 Rebounds + Assists (-130)
Oklahoma City will be hosting this contest tonight following a one-sided victory yesterday against the Clippers. The Thunder will be playing their third game in four nights, while the Knicks last suited up on Wednesday. The Knicks play on the road again tomorrow, but we expect them to go at Oklahoma City full-bore this evening.
This would be a huge win for the Knicks against one of the best teams in the NBA. With the Thunder coming off such a condensed schedule, this plays directly in the favor of New York. The Knicks have won nine games in a row and appear to have hit their proverbial stride in regards to cohesiveness. This should be a close contest that goes down to the wire. We will take the points with the Knicks to stay within five.
The 221.5 spread seems indicative of the recent scoring barrage New York has displayed over their last eight games, averaging 122.8 points per game in that span. Due to the hounding defense of Oklahoma City, we feel that number could be a bit aggressive.
The Thunder own the best defensive rating in the NBA, while teams are only averaging 106.4 points against the Knicks in the last 10 games. In the case of Oklahoma City, they are allowing a league-low 101.8 points per game. These teams do not appear to be very gracious in regards to allowing points, so the under sounds like a sound selection for this contest.
Karl-Anthony Towns is once again vying for the title of greatest shooting power forward/center. The late offseason acquisition has knocked down at least one three-pointer in 12 of his last 13 contests. He has failed to hit at least one three-pointer just twice the entire season. This selection is juiced up like the â90s, however, the consistency makes this a solid additional piece to inflate the parlay.
Josh Hart has been an absolute force for rebounds and assists over the past five games. We expect that success to continue in a contest where he should see close to 40 minutes - barring injury or foul trouble. Hart has cleared a combined 15.5 rebounds + assists in four of his last five games. He is averaging 13 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game over that span.
Parlay Odds: +572
Memphis Grizzlies @ Sacramento Kings
- Leg 1: Grizzlies Moneyline (+142)
- Leg 2: Over 238.5 Points (-110)
While the Grizzlies are no doubt missing their star player and most productive scorer in Ja Morant, that hasn't deterred the team from finding success. With Morant once again set to miss this contest, Memphis will look to quell the current win streak Sacramento is experiencing.
The Grizzlies won five out of eight road games in December and are currently in second place in the Western Conference with seven wins in their last 10 games. Sacramento is playing much better over the current two-game win streak. However, with so much turbulence surrounding the team, we will favor the side of the plus action, for the visiting squad.
As for points, the line is set at almost 240, and there's a strong possibility this comfortably exceeds that threshold. Over the last 10 games, the Grizzlies are averaging over 127 points (first amongst all teams), while the Kings are not too far behind at 113.3.
On the other side of the ball, Memphis is giving up 115.8 points per game in their last 10 contests. Both teams are allowing the opposition to shoot over 45% from the field. When you factor in that these teams are both ranked in the top 10 in regards to pace (Memphis is first), the over for this selection makes a tremendous amount of sense.
