Denver Nuggets @ New Orleans Pelicans
- Leg 1: Denver Nuggets -6 (-110)
- Leg 2: Denver Nuggets Team Total Over 113.5 Points (-105)
- Leg 3: Christian Braun Over 18.5 Points + Rebounds (-118)
Denver rolls into New Orleans to take on a depleted Pelicans squad, who are trending in the opposite direction of the Nuggets. After a disappointing start, Denver has found their stride - winning five games straight.
In a complete series of unfortunate events, New Orleans has not just been bitten by the injury bug, they have seemingly been swallowed whole. We say that in jest, of course, however, the amount of injuries incurred in New Orleans puts a tremendous cap on what looked like a promising 2024-25 campaign.
Over their five-game win streak, Denver owns a nine-point differential in those victories. New Orleans is 2-10 against the spread (ATS) on the season, losing by an average of 15.1 points during their six-game skid.
The Denver total for team points seems way too low considering the heater they are currently on. The blowout narrative is strong in this one, which will predominately be a good opportunity to get a small edge in a game where the Nuggets should have no issue scoring baskets.
Denver has scored at least 113.5 points in nine straight games, for an average of 127.3 points per game. Yes, you read that correctly. The Nuggets are collectively scoring almost 14 points more than the suggested total for this evening.
The Pelicans are 1-9 over their last 10 games while giving up an average of 117.4 points per game on 49.8% shooting from the field. In that span, teams are connecting on almost 15 three-pointers per game on 40% shooting.
On the last leg of this parlay, we revert to a popular play on the season - Christian Braunâs points and rebounds combo prop. This selection has been an absolute smash and one we hope you have benefited from.
Braun is currently averaging 16.3 points with 5.4 rebounds on the season. Even though on the road those numbers dip slightly to 14.3 and 4.7, there's still enough meat on the bone to clear the desired total.
The Denver guard has only failed to clear 18.5 points and rebounds in two games this season. Given the current state of the Pelicans and the number of points they are allowing each contest, Braun might only need three quarters of playing time to get us home.
Braun is shooting 55.2% on the season; including 50% from distance on 3.4 attempts per contest. The third-year guard also owns a true shooting percentage of 67%, with a 63.3% effective field-goal percentage.
Good luck with your parlays.
