Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers
- Leg 1: Jarrett Allen Over 3.5 1st Quarter Points (-146)
- Leg 2: Donovan Mitchell Over 4 Assists (-210)
- Leg 3: Jordan Poole Under 27.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
The 2024-25 campaign has started out anything but fruitful for the Washington Wizards. Not only is the team on the lower spectrum of most defensive categories, they are currently dealing with multiple injuries for this contest. Cleveland, on the other hand, is the top-performing team in the NBA to date and will be looking to bounce back after their loss to Miami on Sunday.
Jarrett Allen is averaging 4.4 points on 75% shooting from the field in the first quarter for the Cavs this season. Over the last 10 games, these numbers have increased to 4.7 points on an astounding 91% shooting percentage.
The Washington Wizards have allowed over 30 points in the first quarter of the season. It's possible Evan Mobley will miss this contest. If that is to be, Allen will have no problem getting to the basket, with very little resistance, if any.
Staying with Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell faces one of the league leaders in assists allowed per game. Opponents dish out over 28 assists each contest against Washington, and over the past five games, the Wizards have surrendered 31.4 dimes each contest-tied for first across the NBA.
Mitchell has cleared four assists or more in the last 6-of-7 games and is averaging 6.0 assists against Washington on the season in two meetings.
Jordan Poole faces a top-ten defensive-rated Cavs team that is particularly successful at limiting the oppositionâs scoring-allowing only 111 points per game. When playing at home, Cleveland only allows opponents to connect on 45% shooting from the field and 35% from beyond the arc.
Poole is averaging 13.5 points, 5.0 assists, and 1.0 rebounds in two prior matchups against the Cavaliers this season. In the last eight games, the Washington guard has only surpassed 27.5 P+R+A on three occasions.

Los Angeles Clippers at Denver Nuggets
- Leg 1: Michael Porter Jr. Over 6 Rebounds (-145)
- Leg 2: Michael Porter Jr. Over 27.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
- Leg 3: Clippers @ Nuggets Under 229 Points (-110)
Michael Porter Jr. has pulled down at least six rebounds or more in the last 8-of-10 games. He has hit the suggested total in the previous five contests against Los Angeles. In fact, the last time the Denver forward failed to grab six rebounds or more against the Clippers was in 2023.
Over the last five games, Los Angeles has owned the eighth-lowest field-goal percentage and allows the fourth-most rebounds to the opposition. This appears to be a great spot for Porter Jr. to collect six rebounds or more tonight.
The Nuggetsâ forward has been formidable on the glass and an efficient source of points recently. Porter Jr. has scored at least 17 points or more in the previous 9-of-10 contests while shooting 55% from the field.
The fifth-year veteran out of Missouri averages 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over the 10-game span. We expect Porter Jr. to see some heavy usage in this contest against a Clippers team, allowing opponents to shoot just under 50% from the field over the last five games.
Denver has been allowing the opposition to score at will lately, giving up 120.0 points in the last five games. On the other end of the floor, Los Angeles has seemingly been underachieving at the rim, only putting up 106.2 points in their last five contests.
On the season, the Clippers have held opponents to only 105 points scored each contest on 46% shooting from the field. Our reluctance to take the over in these contests stems from the fact that Los Angeles has been exceptional at limiting points; however, it has not been so fortunate in regard to making baskets.
