Milwaukee Bucks @ Cleveland Cavaliers
- Leg 1: Cavaliers Moneyline (-400)
- Leg 2: Donovan Mitchell Under 34.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)
- Leg 3: Donovan Mitchell 4+ Assists (-210)
Milwaukee enters this contest on the wings of winning the second annual In-Season Tournament. Not only that, the Bucks have successfully taken down eight of their last 10 opponents. However, things become increasingly more difficult tonight against the Cavaliers with Damian Lillard ruled out.
Cleveland is 14-1 at home and faces a Milwaukee team without one of their main scoring options. The Cavs have won six of their last seven games with a victory margin of 16.7 points in those contests.
While we do feel the Cavs get the better of the Bucks, Donovan Mitchellâs points + rebounds + assists combo prop appears to be sitting a tad high considering his recent production. The seventh-year veteran has only surpassed a combined 34.5 points + rebounds + assists in three of his past 10 games. He has only connected on 36% of field-goal attempts in two prior games against the Bucks this season.
The points aspect makes up the majority of this total. However, even with a performance that mirrors Mitchell's season averages, we are still below the suggested threshold. If Milwaukee were at full strength this certainly would be a prop to entertain the higher side of. On the chance this game gets ugly, the Cleveland guard may not even see a normal allotment of minutes.
As for the assists, that is a horse of a completely different color. The last game where Mitchell failed to record at least four assists was on December 1st. The Cavs guard has also dished out at least four assists in the two previous games against Milwaukee this season.
Mitchell has no fewer than five assists in six straight games and is averaging 5.7 assists in December. It's an extremely juicy selection, however, we feel it's a solid way to close out this parlay.
Parlay Odds: +207
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Miami Heat
- Leg 1: Under 214.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 2: Luguentz Dort 4+ Rebounds (-220)
- Leg 3: Jalen Williams 4+ Rebounds (-460)
The Oklahoma City Thunder will look to make it two wins in a row as they head to Miami for a matchup with a Heat team that has not played since Monday. As for the Thunder, this will be their third road contest in four nights.
Considering Miami will most certainly have some rust to shake off, and the intense road schedule Oklahoma City is currently on, the under makes complete sense here. Miami is giving up 107 points at home this season on 45% shooting from the field. When playing on four days rest, the Heat are only averaging 97 points.
The Thunder own the highest defensive rating in the league and are only conceding 103.3 points per game to the opposition. Teams are shooting a scant 42.5% from the field and 33.1% from behind the arc. Oklahoma City has allowed an average of 101 points in the last five games and 97.3 over the last three.
Luguentz Dort is pulling down 4.8 rebounds each contest. Over his last six games, he has pulled down at least four rebounds. In 26 games played on the season, Dort has only failed to grab four rebounds in a game on seven occasions.
Miami allows the fifth-most rebounds to opponents - predominately off of defensive rebounds due to the Heat owning the eighth-lowest field goal percentage in the NBA.
The story is similar with Jalen Williams. The Thunder forward is averaging just under six rebounds per game and has grabbed at least four rebounds in four of his last five contests. Over the last 17 games, Williams has only fallen below four rebounds on two occasions.
Given the extra rest days for the Heat and the intense schedule Oklahoma City has incurred, efficiency may take a back-seat in this game. That is why we feel there will be no shortage of rebounds for Dort and Williams to scoop up.
Parlay Odds: +204
