Detroit Pistons at San Antonio Spurs
- Leg 1: Pistons Moneyline (-185)
- Leg 2: Pistons Over 112.5 Total Team Points (-285)
- Leg 3: Pistons Race to 40 Points First Half (-165)
- Leg 4: Ausar Thompson Over 11.5 Points (-130)
San Antonio received some seriously unfortunate news yesterday in regard to their superstar Center, Victor Wembanyama. He is feared to be out for the season with blood clots in his shoulder. Very scary scenario, and one that we hope is something that can be handled without any further complications.
This leaves San Antonio in a bad spot for this contest, and even more so for the rest of the season. The Spurs head into this contest having lost five of their last eight games. Without Wemby, San Antonio loses an incredible defensive presence, as well as a dominant scoring option.
Detroit has picked up victories in six of their last eight games and looks to be making a serious push toward the Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Pistons have also won six of the last nine road games, including the last two before the all-star break.
San Antonio has conceded over 115 points per game over the last five contests. The Spurs are allowing 15.0 three-pointers per game over that span, while opponents are shooting almost 48% from the field.
The loss of Victor Wembanyama is definitely a shock to the system for the Spurs. While we expect De’Aaron Fox to make a major splash tonight, we just don't see San Antonio being the first to reach the 40-point threshold in the first half. Detroit is going to have a clear path to the basket without the size and shot-blocking prowess of Wemby. San Antonio will have to construct an entirely different offense for this contest and will need to immediately hit the ground running.
Ausar Thompson continues to clear his points prop, and we will ride with it until something changes. The Detroit forward has surpassed 11.5 points over the previous seven games and is shooting 69.5% from the field in February. Thompson played 28 minutes in the last game for Detroit, the second-highest total of the season. We wouldn't fault you for taking a gander at the assists props (2.5) as well. Thompson has also dished out at least three assists in the last seven contests.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Houston Rockets
Leg 1: Rockets Moneyline (-166)
Leg 2: Rockets Over 106.5 Total Team Points (-200)
Leg 3: Rockets Race to 40 Points First Half (-130)
The Houston Rockets have all but obliterated preseason expectations and firmly set themselves in position to reach the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign. Houston fell short of victory when these two teams last met earlier this month. We are expecting an entirely different outcome this evening.
February has not been the best month for Houston, as a team, by any means. Highlighted by a double-shot of losses to the lowly Brooklyn Nets, the Rockets incurred six losing efforts during this month, the most of any on the season.
The Rockets will see the return of Jabari Smith Jr this evening, after missing the last 22 games. We do expect some sort of minutes restriction, however, this welcomed addition gives Houston another presence on the boards, as well as from beyond the perimeter.
Minnesota has currently lost four of their last eight games, and will still be without Julius Randle for this contest. Randle has resumed five-on-five activities after suffering a groin injury on January 30, yet is still not ready to play this evening.
Houston has scored at least 107 points or more in 13-of-20 games- including 10 contests with 118+ points scored. When these two teams last locked up earlier in the month, Houston scored 114 points.
Amen Thompson has been absolutely dominating the suggested 13.5 rebounds + assists prop in February. In eight games played, Thompson has recorded at least 14 rebounds + assists in all but one contest. That one contest just so happens to be against the Timberwolves...
That is not a surprise by any means considering Minnesota allows the fifth-fewest assists per game and the ninth-fewest rebounds of any team. Thompson has yet to reach a combined total of 14 assists + rebounds in all three matchups against the Timberwolves this season.
